-I hate Christiano Ronaldo just as much now he doesn't play for Manchester. I thought this would be the case, and it is. He goes to strike a free kick from way too far out, he does his patented stupid walk and stance, and he actually looks at himself, in the big screen.
-Torres is a lazy moany bastard when he's not on form. At least we know it's not just for Liverpool. It's totally forgivable he'd be off form and off the pace after all this time off, but he's lazy, he doesn't make runs at times, he gets annoyed, he goes down easily, won't battle, stays on the deck for a while, and he's obviously a cheat. I'll be looking forward to seeing him back to his best for us, of course.
-There really aren't any stand out teams in the same way as other cups, but I think there's the capacity for any number of teams to find form and peak as the tournament progresses.
-I don't know about your coverage, but the cameramen must be gay for my coverage of this cup. Part of the world cup is the "it's a small world" of T&A, and I've not seen much of anything. There's been a few dour meaningless matches, with Brazilians and Portuguese attention whores looking on, so where's the love?
-Have african teams really benefited from the supposedly superior coaching? Or have they just adopted conservative approaches that erase some expressive aspects of their play. All but Ghana out, is it really helping anyone?
