Well we don't win anything with veterans either, so let's give some a go.

Kelly, Wilson & Shelvey, Pacheco could surely not be doing any worse that the current lot.

Maybe give Amoo, Suso, Robinson a chance too.

Why is Shelvey not even on the bench ???



It won't happen of course, but we need to drop several of these twats we have out there currently.

Carragher at right back, with Maxi infront of him tells any opposition that you intend to all your attacking play on the other side of the pitch.

His legs are just isn't there for full back any more.

That run he attempted in the 1st half, where he tried a bit of skill to get round Baines was made me chuckle and sigh at the same time. God bless him, he tries does Carra but at full back he's only got 2 options: chip it forward in the generally direction of our forwards (some refer to this as 'hoofing') or play it back to Pepe/our right Centre back.

We could definitely afford to blood one of the young wide players we have. Our current team is so narrow that our attacks are easily dealt with, Everton merely sat back and invited us on second half knowing they could crowd us out as nothing is coming in from out wide.

Swap Jovanovic for Kuyt when he's back (and put him on the right). Pacheco can fill in for any of the front ones too I guess.

Wilson doesn't have to play every game obviously, but let's start giving him a chance. He's played in the Champions League before so he shouldn't be out of his depth you'd hope.


It won't happen though.

There's no point even debating this because Hodgson will NEVER play the kids. He's ball-less, conservative, and with no tactial nous whatsoever.
 
Shelvey's the third best CM at the club, after Gerrard and Meireles. I said it a while back, and if Gerrard is playing further up, I'd have no hesitation in saying that Shelvey should be starting. As for Kelly, I still like Johnson at right-back, but given how awful Konchesky has been, I'd have Kelly as my first choice left back at this stage.

Hodgson will do none of the above though as he's probably never innovated in his managerial career in the slightest or ever done anything other than try and nullify the opposition.
