Has 20 goals in the league this season.

Second 'midfielder' after Lampard to score 20 goals in the league in the PL era.

I've been looking up his record - and he's generally a 5-6 a season type.

How the fuck did he become so prolific? Are City playing him differently this season or something?

Anyway, he's quite a player.

Taking penalties and free kicks this year has helped.
 
I don't like the way people say "yeah, but so and so takes free kicks. That's why he scores so many." Free kicks are pretty fucking difficult to score.

I think Yaya is great, but the added goals this season are in part the set pieces. Tevez and Balotelli would not let him near to them previously.

Having Fernandinho behind/next to him has also helped.

Credit to Yaya for taking full advantage.

Agree with your post btw, Mancini pissing off has helped him also.
