Roy Hodgson is lining up a £13million bid for FC Twente winger Bryan Ruiz. The new Liverpool boss is in negotiations with the Dutch club for the goal-scoring wide man.

The Costa Rican hit 24 goals last season for Twente, who were then managed by former England boss Steve McLaren.
Hodgson watched 24-year-old Ruiz several times when he was Fulham manager.

I think he's going to be.... calm, he'll listen well, but have some tendency toward dominance.

Scoring 24 goals and being one of the stars of the Dutch Champions suggests he's at least as good?

A fucking Oompa Loompa could score 20 goals in the Dutch league.

You really have to watch it to see how shit the defending is. It's like League 2, but with better forwards.
 
I have to agree I've been impressed by Elia too .... what's his ballpark figure, anyone any idea ?
 
If Hodgson gets us a winger for both sides of the pitch, that arent complete gash, I'm gonna name christen him Red Bull.

I doubt he'd leave Hamburg, they'd be looking for upwards of £15M i think.

Went for about 5mins and only had a few different clips and those clips were good. so thats why i said he looks decent but is not worth 13mil. if we can fuck riera off for about 5-6 and get him for the same price then id be happy. Otherwise 13mil could be better spent
 
Are we talking about an out and out old fashioned winger or another left/right midfielder?

We have Babel/Riera/Kuyt and Maxi (to name a few) already in wide midfield roles. Surely we need to cut the payroll not increase it.

If it's a proper winger, they're quite few and expensive, no?
