I think Ighalo, Ayew and Kante are good players. I don't know whether Mahrez is a flash in the pan or not. I'd also be tempted by Wijnaldum and Lanzini, but they'd have to be fairly cheap.
Fuck knows why we didn't sign Alli. We tracked him for ages but waited too long. He'll probably go to City for 50mil next summer

Yeah, almost all of them. Although I don't know about Rondon, Ayew or Ayoze.
But we'd get quoted absurd money, and that's always a risk given quite a few of the above have only had one half of one good season.
I wanted us to buy Delle Alli a while ago, because he was so obviously a great player, and Kante has been great, so those two would help our deficiencies in midfield.
Maybe Ings could be our Vardy? Maybe not as quick, but similar non-stop style.
It will be interesting to see how they perform next season, and I reckon 4 or 5 may be at different clubs too. Kante will be 15-20m, as will Vardy and Mahrez.
I would avoid buying from the PL altogether. Not there aren't any good players there, but we're always going to be wrung dry over the fees.
The precedents we've set over the years in Downing (20m), Carroll (35m), Lallana (25m), Lovren (20m), Benteke (32.5m) means the starting price any selling club will quote for their players is 20 million.
It's just not worth it. The only exception is buying someone who has only a year left on his contract (like Clyne). You could get good value on those deals. But the rest, I'd just stay away from. There's nothing in the PL you can't get for half the price in Europe.
