Tonight on LFC TV at 10pm GMT we will be showing the world premiere of Jan Molby's fantastic goal against Manchester United from 1985.
The Great Dane scored one of the best ever goals to grace Anfield during a 2-1 win over our arch rivals in a Milk Cup tie at Anfield, on this day back on November 26, 1985, and no footage has ever been made available to the public - until now.

A night at the Museum with Jan Molby at 10pm features the first ever TV showing of Molby's famous 'lost' goal that has never been seen before.

Television didn't cover it at the time and the only footage of the game was recorded by a single police survailance camera in the Anfield gantry.

After the game Jan was generously given the only copy of the game by defeated United manager Ron Atkinson.

The Kop legend has given LFC TV the footage and we are delighted to show it for the first time tonight.

It was a toe poke!

Will somebody please post a link to the goal after the show?

I've wanted to see that goal for almost 25 years now. If it's as spectacular as it sounded on Radio Merseyside as I lay on my bed listening way back then, I can't wait...

😱 He was bound for Howard Wilkinson's Sheff Wed until the last second 😱

I think the distance from goal was increased half a yard with every year that passed.

Like Gary McAllisters goal vs Everton, which now stands at 43897206 yards

That and stevies FA Cup goal + Mellor's vs the Arse are the modern classics

Nice goal. Maybe it was a tad nearer than I had previously thought but nonetheless, nice goal.....

If you ignore the it was hit from 200 yard type stories, fucking hell, what a great goal. The pace to burst away, and the strike was wonderful.

1 min, 25 seconds in - The utter state of the guy's hair.

The goal - Fuck it's good. The bit I love is that for the whole run he never once looks down towards the ball. To run at that pace, keeping control of the ball, evading opponents, and teeing up a shot which eventually rifles into the net whilst keeping your head up the whole time is remarkable.
