Have any of you had any ghostly or paranormal experiences?
Have any of you changed your minds about the exsistence of ghosts because of something you've witnessed?
When I was a teenager, by best friend lived in a bungalow that was haunted by a poltergeist. She used to tell us stories about what it did, for example a few times she woke up in the middle of the night without her cover on, she gropped around on the floor by her bed thinking it'd just fallen on the floor, she couldn't find it so had to walk to the other end of the room (her room was very long and thin) to turn the light on, next to the light was the door, neatly folded up on the floor by the door was her duvet. Things were always being moved about, her stereo was pulled into the middle of the room, mugs went missing, furniture was sometimes in the wrong place. She also said that her mum, in bed in the dark by herself had felt 'someone' climb over her and get in the bed beside her, she turned the light on and no one was there. We were never really sure whether to believe her or not, but one night when I stayed at her house I woke up in the night freezing cold for no reason, it wasn't a cold night and I had PJs on and a duvet, anyway, as I was wondering why I was so cold I felt 'someone' sit on the end of the bed, 'they' sat there for about a minute and then they were gone and I was no longer cold.
I also had another experience, when I was about 14 my mum was a manager in a pub, the landlord and landlady went away for a long weekend and so mum and I moved into the pub so that she could look after the place while they were away. One night, I was in bed, could hear the muted sounds coming from the bar downstairs, I was starting to fall asleep when something caught my eye in the corner of the room, I looked again and saw a 'man' chopping wood, there were no sounds coming from that direction and the wood disappeared after he chopped it and another whole log appeared in it's place. I was actually quite calm and I didn't feel threatened, but I did go downstairs to tell mum, she promtly took my back upstairs, obviously the 'man' wasn't there any more.
