I’m going France just to see what the sweepstake prize.
That's what I reckon too. I've said France from day one and they were the team I was following from the start. I've barely been interested in England and I'm certainly not as excited as I probably should be for England's 1/4 final.

In this order - and I really mean it - all conspiracy theories aside and on the assumption that FIFA don't want to encourage EU membership, and don't want to make Mbappe their new dolly to showcase the sport then:
1) England
2) Belgium
3) France
The question is why ? - I think England have more variety in their squad and different approaches they can adapt. The other two - regardless of players will now play a defensive game - as I said in the France vs Uruguay game - both teams will play like a Juventus team.
@Woland - the title of this thread is very interesting - I think this is the longest period of European dominance of the world cup since the competition started (since 2006 onwards it will mean the last 4 world cups would have been won by European nations). Usually it forces a kick up the backside of the two main south american nations (Brazil, Argentina) - and just maybe - will bring about the new generation of players from South America that bring something new to the game ready to challenge in 2022. However, with all the money in Europe their players are becoming rather stale as they are being bought to early into Europe, and are losing their creativity.
Just a little extra tip that is in my memory:-
Since 1990 world cup and those that have followed, in cases where Brazil never reached the final and were knocked out in the knockout stages, the team that beat them - has always made it to the final - and apart from the last world cup those specific teams have been losing finalists !!!

Last night Brazil had chances that would’ve been put away by giroud/griezeman/mmmbopp. I thought Kompany was terrible.
