Speculation is that Klopp will have £100m which sound huge, but with market situation as it is that will get 3-4 players. Sturridge and Coutinho have expressed intention to stay and they were our big ticket items So the question is who goes and what for?

Don't forget Lucas, for fuck's sake. And that useless dope Origi.

And possibly Karius, in a player plus cash deal. "Cash and Karius", if you will.
I dont think Origi will go. Klopp seems to love him.
Cant see Karius going either after one season.
Lucas......well im still hoping for a last minute reprieve.

Wonder if there is a chance that Joe Gomez could go as well, maybe with a buy back clause? He was 5th choice centre back this year and we will undoubtedly strengthen in that department over the summer.

Lucas is OOC
Karius is going nowhere, as he is a Klopp buy and will get his chance again. I can see Klopp letting go of a lot of the players on the fringes.

I know he is. So what? He could be given a new one. Apparently that can sometimes happen.

Sakho, Moreno, Flanno, Brannagan, Sturridge, Lucas, Stewart, Lazar, Wisdom are all certainties to go, in my opinion. Out of those I'd only be sad to see Sturridge, Brannagan and Flanno leave but I'd understand the reason behind it.

Ings, Origi, Klavan and Can are maybes. I'd like to see Can sign a new contract and stay. Origi and Klavan are rubbish and Ings has been unlucky (like Flanno) and may seek to rebuild his career elsewhere.

Maybe Karius too, with Ward becoming 2nd choice keeper.

I guess to an extent it depends on whether Coutinho and Sturridge stay put.

Either way, the sale of Sakho will hopefully go a long way towards funding a new CB, which will leave the rest of the budget for a midfielder, fullback and a couple of attackers. It should be doable.

100 mill would get us about two and a half decent players.

It doesn't have to.

Dortmund signed Dembele for 15M euros apparently last summer, Kante for £32M and so forth.

There is value to be had. Tielmans at 21M looks like a decent gamble for example.

They'll probably double it when we come knocking.
- You got how much for Ibe?!!
- Oh, we're gonna need about £42 million for Tielemans

Tielemans would be an amazing pick up, really impressed in Europa and has scored a few belters in the league

Belgian champions Anderlecht have confirmed the highly-rated midfielder will be leaving the club during the summer

Anderlecht general director Herman Van Holsbeeck has confirmed Youri Tielemans is set to leave the club for Monaco and expects the deal to be done by the end of the week.

Surprisingly Origi finished 4th top goal scorer with 11. For someone who is so static/passive when without the ball, that's a decent number.

What makes you think we're selling more than 5 players? Our squad is paper thin, as evident by our bench options and fucking Lucas playing 20 Premiership games despite us not being in Europe.

There's no way Sturridge, Ings and Origi are all gone - still think Sturridge is most likely to leave, Origi to stay as backup (3rd or hopefully 4th striker) and Ings might just stay as well because you can bet we're not getting any decent offers for him.

Karius would ideally be going on loan but I don't see a problem if he stays as backup - he hasn't delivered so far but he's young and could still turn out capable. Who was our last decent backup keeper anyway? Dudek after Reina's arrival?

No real value in selling Klavan, he's probably on low wages as he's old and cheap. Not very good but he's no Pellegrino either, so he can stay as 4th/5th choice or whatever.

Stewart, Wisdom, Flanagan etc.might fetch another 10-15M combined. Gomez is a good shout - could go if Klopp doesn't rate him.

And do yourself a favor and don't get excited about the possibility of Lucas leaving. I can see him coming on in the 87th minute of the second leg of our CL qualifier and fucking it up. He's not going anywhere, ever.

I guess to an extent it depends on whether Coutinho and Sturridge stay put.

Coutinho signed a new five-year contract with Jurgen Klopp's side in January but is still continually linked with a transfer away from Anfield, with Spain or Germany the predicted destination.
However, the 24-year-old has dismissed recent reports as "speculation" and believes he can achieve greater success with the Reds in the Premier League than with another club in the Bundesliga or La Liga.

"Stay here and they will end up building a statue in your honour," Coutinho told ESPN Brasil.
"Go somewhere else, to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will be just another player. Here you can be something more.
"I have a long contract with Liverpool. Speculation is for journalists only."

My thoughts. Bold = 1st Team squad
In total I can see 6-8 being shipped out. Hopefully Can stays as we need him. Some youth will be promoted next year such as Wilson and Brewster to go alongside Woodburn and Ejaria.

GK -
Karius will stay if Huddersfield are promoted, Ward will go back out on loan. If not I see Karius shipped out.
Manninger was and still is an odd inclusion, he can go or retain as a coach.
Bogdan 100%

DEF -
Klavan 100%
Moreno 100%

Sakho 100%
Wisdom 100%
Randall 100%
Flannagan if no one will take him on loan again.
Gomez for the right price sell with a buy back clause to a premier league team, I'd like to keep him though as our squad is thin.

MID
Lucas 100%
Stewart 100
%
Markovic if we get the right price, I can't see Hull keeping him
Can if he doesn't sign a new deal
Ojo looks like he's stuttered and uninterested
Williams looks like he's at the end of the line too
Brannagan and Chirivella are odd ones - clearly have the talent to play elsewhere, neither seem to be allowed near the 1st team. Both could leave on loan or permanently.

FWD
Sturridge if we get a fit striker in.
Dunn 100%

Markovic is a cert to go I suppose but he put in a good shift at Hull and his injury against Sunderland coincided in the collapse of their form.

He's still young so I wonder if he has a chance of getting back into the squad?

No !

Lucas Leavinga

Ha ha, speaking of which, surely this is top trolling. @Modo have you written this?

Lucas Leiva was going to see out his Liverpool contract before leaving on a free this summer in search of more regular playing time, departing as one of the longest-serving foreign-born players in club history and something of a cult favourite for his undervalued skillset and quietly determined approach.

That was the consensus. That was what every report said. It turns out, though, to have been built on a faulty foundation of thinking Lucas’ contract expired this summer, something that everyone seemed to agree on but that it turns out wasn’t actually the case. Instead, the Brazilian has a year to go.

“I have another year of contract with Liverpool,” Lucas said following the final game of the 2016-17 season as he and many of his teammates prepared to head to Australia for a post-season friendly against Sydney FC, throwing a spanner in nearly a season’s worth of assumptions when it came to his future.
Since last summer’s last, latest nearly departure for the veteran midfielder, the story had stayed the same. Lucas had a year to go, would provide valuable depth and mentorship while still at the club, and would leave on good terms and with everyone’s blessing when the summer of 2017 rolled around.

He may still go, of course. But that hardly seems as certain now as it did just a few days ago, and based on how many times in the past Lucas has nearly departed the club, as long as he’s still under contract it would be foolish to assume he’s going to be heading anywhere but on holliday this summer.
“I’ll probably go on vacation now and have a talk with Jürgen Klopp, with the owners,” he added. “I think that after ten years it’s not a matter of negotiation but rather of finding a solution that’s good for both parties.”

I'd love to cull a good few, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Markovich, Sturridge included. But we have a small squad as it is and I can't see us signing 20 players, nor would that be a good idea. So I'm guessing that there might not be too many departures.

Getting shot of the likes of Markovic Moreno or Sahko is not going to make much difference seeing as they contributed nothing this season. I do worry that we simply have to recruit too many players and it's going to leave us disjointed.
