Harry Redknapp replacing Hughes at QPR, or

Benitez replacing Di Matteo at Chelsea?

Neither. Not because I don't think they'll get sacked, but because I don't think Benitez will be appointed at Chelsea, and doubt that Redknapp is headed to QPR for a relegation fight after a high-profile job at Spurs. I think Hiddink to Chelsea will finally happen, and that Redknapp might just wait for Pardew's luck to run out.

Di Matteo and Hughes are both likely to getting sacked after this weekend's games though. Coincidentally, they each play a team from Manchester (Chelsea hosts City, Hughes takes his team to Old Trafford to gift his master 3 points).

Chelsea won't sack yet - technically not out of CL yet are they?

A loss at the weekend and the pressure will be on - but Torres will be blamed for not delivering.

Redknapp wants to be able to remain living in the Bournemouth - so it's London or bust for him - he won't go to Newcastle and they won't be sacking Pardew after giving him such a long contract.

Did i read it right a few weeks ago that they gave Pardew an 8 yr contract ? Insane if true .

I think so. And they signed their chief scout to a contract that runs till 2020, when he'll be 75:

They've done some weird things, but the few things they got right like picking up some good bargains and that little bit of business they did with us, they've done all right. However, I wouldn't put it past them to do more weird things in the future.

Redknapp is the leading candidate (actually the only candidate, according to our federation) to be Ukraine national team coach.

Rafa at Chelsea? On one hand, Rafa seems to be precisely the wrong choice for a short-term job. On the other hand, he might be the last hope of saving Torres's career at Chelsea and their 50 million investment.

Good call.

Rafa's magic touch in the CL will be a powerful plus. Rafa's behind-the-scenes games playing will be a powerful minus, plus he already turned them down once - admittedly for a perfectly respectable reason, but Roman doesn't strike me as the kind of person to ask twice.

JJ's judgment: Rafa will not be appointed Chelsea manager. Incidentally, unlike others here I can very well see Harry Redknapp going to QPR. Tottenham were a joke when he first went there.

They want the CL again, but Rafa would be reluctant to manage under an underhanded regime while I'd imagine Chelsea would be loathed to have a manager who will try to have as much power as Rafa will want. I can't see it happening.

Redknapp though...

Could he waste all of Romans money as well??? That would make my day!!!!

It has a nice ring to it, but it's just a copy of Vlad's Verdict, no originality.

I saw that Rodgers and Anelka(!!) has the same odds!

Rafa Benitez 8/13
Pep Guardiola 4/1
Harry Redknapp 9/2
Avram Grant 12/1
Guus Hiddink 18/1
Jose Mourinho 25/1
David Moyes 28/1
Steve Clarke 33/1
John Terry 33/1
Alan Curbishley 40/1
Marcelo Bielsa 40/1
Dan Petrescu 40/1
Gus Poyet 40/1
Gianfranco Zola 40/1
Frank Lampard 50/1
Andrej Sjevsjtenko 50/1
David Beckham 50/1
Dennis Wise 50/1
Cesare Prandelli 50/1
Laurent Blanc 50/1
Roberto Martinez 50/1
Alan Pardew 50/1
Jurgen Klinsmann 50/1
Brendan Rogers 50/1
Nicolas Anelka 50/1

De Matteo validates Rosco's 'managers don't matter' theory better than anyone else. He's a shit manager (not as good as Hodgson was with the same West Brom players) but won the Champs League and was 3rd in the Prem.
Where is he going to go now? No other big club would want him.
