3 goals and 3 assists already - but weirdly... 4 shots, all on target.

Compare to other players with 3 goals...

Coutinho - 16 shots, 9 on target
Mane - 7, 5
Rondon 14, 5
Walcott 15,11
Rashford 8,4

None of the above have 3 assists.

So he's the form player in the league right now, the most accurate goalscorer... but he divides opinion on here. I always thought I liked watching him play but he released the ball a milisecond too late, he was just a tiny bit too slow on the ball, so I understood why people got on his case even when I'd rather he was in the side. He looks a fucking don right now. So is this a blip? Or is Klopp some Kung Fu master who sorted that speed of mind thing out?

Ive loved man from a yoot, seaside days fam.

Always thought he would come good. He came from being a big fish in a small pond and it was always going to be a tough transition, but now he seems to finally believe he deserves to be here.

I love how many tackles he runs back and wins for us around our box.
Right now hes a dream player.

Like I said in the other thread. Lallana's form has surprised me a whole lot. The main difference from previous seasons being that he's starting to take his chances.
He's getting a lot more space as well, since opponents can't cope with all of our attacking players.

Yeah, could be the space thing. I thought that last season... he hadn't got worse than when he played for Southampton, he just got more attention from defenders coz other times line up more defensively against us than them.

So Lallana is better coz of Mane? Makes sense I suppose. You wouldn't know who to mark playing against us at the minute.

He used to do those "Lallana turns" somewhere on the wing, far away from goal and with no danger, just slowing in the game down. Now look at the 3rd goal yesterday - same turn, but in a dangerous central position, and deadly effective. A lot of credit should go to Klopp - he took what was good in Lallana's game and applied it in a more effective way.

Players with skill who work their bollocks off earn the right to be accommodated.
Coutinho gets away with going missing in games attacking because he still works his plums off. Same with Firmino and Lallana and Mane.
How many tackles have that 4some won around our box already.

They have shown so much willingness to graft.
And this is the season to do it, with no Europe. No way could we keep this up all season if we were in the champions league.

1st name on the Teamsheet for me... He has been our best player so far this Season.. He has been superb..

Realised that to be a big fish at Anfield you have to do more (such as scoring goals and not just threaten them) and this wasn't just one last big move. I think he's taken well to the responsibilities this year and about time, too. Decent player who is getting better each time.

Your lists are bullshit. I been in the DA since before you this year but I'm not in your sig. I'll put it down to an admin oversight.
You have NEVER seen the list bitch.
De Bruyne was on it. Yeah. He was. Too many mens too many mens.
You dont know about the list.

I've always been a huge fan of Lallana and I recall being in a small minority on here when I once said at his very best he offers at least as much as Coutinho.

They're both terrific players and it's credit to them and to Klopp that we're now able to accommodate both in the same 11 and to such devastating effect.

Yes, this is crucial, and true of all our front players. They don't procrastinate, they get the ball and bang, they do something with it almost immediately. Klopp seems to encourage them to play quickly and on instinct, not to think too much but just to do. It won't always come off, but it makes us a nightmare for defenders.

He's been first name on the teamsheet since we got him for me.

He's always, ALWAYS, been intrinsic to us playing well. He was the water carrier and did a lot of the running for the team.

Now he's moved central and wijnaldum is the water carrier. Lallana can play his game and not worry about other aspects as much.

He's free to do what the fuck he wants, and he looks like a world beater now

He's two footedness gives him a very big competitive advantage over everyone else on the pitch.

I think it's a combination of alot of things. Change of position, better support, improved stamina/fitness, improved team. I think if he had come in when Suarez was here he'd have been more consistent and we'd have seen alot more form like what he's showing now. He's always been a good player, but his doubters have always used the transfer fee to weigh him down and justify their doubts.

He's been a good signing but his recent form has been excellent.

Also he's stopped doing the silly things like holding onto the ball too long.

But anyone doubting Lallana previously had every right to because he's been OK since he's been here but not great. He would have odd good game now and again and then disappear. But this season he has been consistently good and his finishing a lot better. Long may it continue.

This.

He still reverts back to type once in awhile though, holding onto or taking one turn too many. But he isn't as wasteful as before, he is looking sharp and confident and every play is measured and purposeful.

However I truly think his whole revival is due to Klopps style of play. We have so many runners and fluidity upfront that players get so much more space. That's why you could see our skilful players like Firmino and Lallana flourishing.

Hard to be definitive because he would have to keep up this current level of performance for a few seasons, not a few games, in order for any genuine re-evaluation to take place.

He was always a decent Premiership player, two footed and skilful, but he lacks the genuine pace and finishing skills to justify his place in the higher echelons of the game. He was 25m and always seemed overpriced. At the age of 28, he is also not really like Reus or Gundogan or Lewandowski, who Klopp had from much younger ages, so we aren't going to make any money on him.

But moving a bit further back has been an inspired decision. He was always losing that AM spot to Mane, but playing deeper has been great for Lallana, and that lack of pace has been less of an issue. The goals and assists have also been coming, so if we get two more seasons out of him at this level, great.

He's started the season very well indeed.

He's a clever player with a lot of movement and options around him now. I always though that holding on to the ball for too long criticism was entirely down to a lack of good options and his reluctance to use those combined with his comfort in possession.

The other things are modos point about other dangerous players in the side giving everyone more time and space and the obvious need to get him doing his thing closer to the opposition goal.

His skill and work ethic were always fantastic, now there's attacking end product too he looks fantastic.
