What has Liverpool got to offer?

Ive volunteered to be the host in Liverpool for my work's do in a couple of weeks.

Usually we go to decent restaurant for meal and piss up but was wondering whether anyone could suggest something a bit more original?

All my colleagues have a bad perception of Liverpool and the typical jokes are flying around so I was hoping to do something that was entertaining or showed the city in a better light.

Food and alcohol has to be in the equation.

Any suggestions please?
