A Football Club that has a Team of Carraghers but get nowhere
or a Club with some World Class Footballers who are not as committed?

Dilemma indeed in the light of Jamie's outburst.

Jamie Carragher has told his unsettled team-mates that if their commitment to Liverpool is in doubt, they should not bother returning to the club for pre-season training.

The centre back is thought to have been referring to Javier Mascherano, who has expressed an interest in joining Barcelona, but his words of warning are equally pertinent to Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, whose futures at Anfield are also uncertain./quote]

I love Jamie.

Here's the exact quote:

"People always talk about players leaving, asking: 'Is this the end of Liverpool?' No chance. Better players than the ones we have now have left and we have replaced them. Anyone who doesn't want to be there, no problem, but we'll start next season with the players who want to do well."

I think the dilemma will be should we expect to see the whole team scarping like Jamie thereby giving us some pride but may not go beyond 7th or we have more of Torres & Mascher and hopefully (but not guaranteed to) win something but at every drop of a hat, they are being linked as being tempted by those Champions' League Clubs.

Mascherano put Carra to shame last year in terms of effort on the field..

i agree with him tho.. if everyone is looking to jump ship then fuck off asap.. getting rid of Rafa would clear out a lot of the shite and help those who are in two minds actually make a decision.

The fact that most players at Portsmouth want to stay shows the extent of the poisonous environment in our changing rooms.. Rafa.. OUT.

Hmm... there is no escaping that Rafa is the root of every problem that is LFC's, for quite a few posters here.

I said the same thing and agree with Carra. Our players are professionals and there shouldn't be any commitment issues. They are getting paid at the end of the day.

Mascherano complaining about being lonely is rubbish. He is surrounded by more Argies on Merseyside than when he was in London. make no mistake, he is a great player but if his heart ain't in it for us, then move on. The same goes for anyone else. No player is bigger than the club.

Proverbially, Liverpool will be the last man standing regardless of player attrition. "You'll Never Walk Alone!"

Yup LFC will always the club for us.

Come hell or high water, rain or storm, PL or god forbid league 1, LFC will never disappear, unless it goes into administrations/bankruptcy that is! But then I am sure some one will revive this wonderful club of ours! Sooner or later.
