Sakho hits his own post with a diving header in the Man City - Palace match.

Loftus Cheek hits the post at the right end with a decent strike from just outside the box

Chelsea lead 2 nil.

We need to take a leaf out of their book, they keep allowing Stoke to have long spells of possession just so they can hit them on the break.

We keep the ball so well that teams always end up sitting back & we cannot break down teams sat back like that, & to make it worse it allows them to counter or play long balls/crosses when they do finally regain it, both of which are our biggest weakness when defending.

Although I agree with your post, the difference is that Chelsea are able to defend against a team having more possession

Poor touch from Benteke fucks up a decent chance made by the impressive Loftus Cheek

True, but that's partly because we're usually left with just the four back men to defend because we've been camped around their area trying to break through. By giving up possession for much of the pitch we obviously have more men back.

City 4 nil up. Could be more. Palace have been pathetic this half

Forget Lukaku, I think Chelsea's acquisition of Morata is the better of the two deals.

Forget Lukaku?

They both seem to be quite good at scoring goals. I'd be delighted if we had a striker as reliable as Lukaku who's got 7 goals already this season, 5 in the league, and is on target to match the 25 league goals he got last season.

But we don't seem able to afford or attract that calibre of striker, even if Klopp was interested in buying one; he seems happiest buying wingers and attacking midfielders.

Shockingly Delph scores a cracking goal. The shocking part is that Delph still exists.

Meanwhile, in Istanbul...
