The rule is shite, if you're getting a penalty then you've got your goal scoring opportunity, the defender shouldn't be getting sent off as well.
Same thing happened to us a few years back at OT a few years ago. Hyypia sent off after 5 mins plus they got the penalty. Game ruined. Beat us 4-0.
Also, Wigan fans have prob paid £50 a ticket plus another £50-£100 getting there and the game is ruined after 10 mins. It's shit.
