20:47 Terrible shot. Hull work the ball patiently and politely across the midfield and Lazar Markovic, who Liverpool invested £20m in, fluffs it a mile over the bar. Devoid of even the most basic of technique.

That was some inspired Hull performance (by the goalkeeper) at Old toilet, The keeper whoever the fuck he is played an absolute blinder, there is NO WAY he can be that good again on Saturday, Utd could have easily scored a bagful tonight.

Can we give hull permission to play him Saturday?

All United did was lump the ball into the centre time after time after time. No guile no technique, they got exactly what they deserved. And in fact if Markovic (who was far better than you made him out to be - he was up against Pogba most of the match and did reasonably well) had been a little luckier his excellent shot that thumped the inside of the post and came out across goal would have gone in.

Their replacement CF, whoever he was, missed a golden chance too - probably THE chance in the match, 5-6m clear and he fumbled his controlling header and let the defender catch him instead of racing in on goal.

So utd's last 8 matches have resulted in 6 wins and 2 draws and they have gone from 6th place to ...................................6th place,

Welcome surprise that result at Old Trafford. Not just based on tonight but I've honestly not been convinced by this United side even when they were on their winning run and had look a lot better in fairness. They won't make top 4.

Man U have gained ten points this season by goals scored beyond the eightieth minute.
I don't know how many we have gained, the late winners against Everton and Swansea comes to mind, but I reckon we have dropped more points in the last ten minutes of games than we have gained

20 points from 8 games and not even moving up one place must be a real sickener,
the gap between us and them has diminished to four points from ten.
They were also six points of fifth at one stage.
If the points gathering trend for all the top six sides continued in a similar vein to the last eight games then they would probably make top four if not higher

They play 4 of the Top 6 in their last 7 games and most of their Top 6 games are away from home. They have more away games to play than home, will likely go quite far (but don't see them winning it, quarters most likely - there are some good teams left in and they will probably go out against the first one they face) and are effectively 5 points off Top 4, so I really don't see them making Top 4.

you clearly didn't see the shot the BBC are talking about if you think they are doing him a downer

Mourinho reverted back to the whiny "why-is-the-world-so-unfair" Mourinho in the post-match interview, which was good to see. Started with one word answers, then "I don't want to talk about the referee" (then proceeding to talk about the referee), finally a dig at Klopp, obviously calculated to distract the media from his team's performance. It was lovely to see the "happy Mourinho" gone under the slightest bit of pressure.

It also helped my mood that I had Jakupovic as my GK in the FF and he brought me 11 points. Apologies to @cloggypop.

What did he say about Klopp?

He didn't say his name, but complained about double-standards when 4th official "told another manager yesterday "I admire your passion," while Mourinho was supposedly asked to sit down or go to the stands. Unfortunately the cunt will probably get his way and the FA will now will look for an opportunity to punish Klopp to show "balance."

But they have recent draws against Liverpool and Stoke. This must be their 3rd consecutive draw, I think.

One poor shot. Like Firmino's ? Or maybe Ibrahimovic's ? Any player can fluff his lines. His other shot which hit the inside of the post was sublime and very unlucky not to go in (he had 2 shots in the match).

Clattenburg didnt include the incident in his match report.
