We only have a 24 hour window to sell Balotelli

According to Express (so most likely bull), a Chinese club is interested in signing him but the Chinese transfer window closes within 24 hrs.

I don't think he'll go to China anyway. I don't think he'd want to go, and there doesn't seem to be any interest in him. He'll most likely be loaned out again and we'll not end up getting a fee for him when he leaves 🙁 what a disaster.

Haha - This smells of the most obvious dot to dot journalism ever. It will never happen.

The "Mirror" apparently has a similar story though. According to them Billy Hogan's been out there looking for takers.

Somebody somewhere was responsible for originating the idea of signing Balotelli. They should be hung by the goolies from a gibbet outside Anfield's main entrance.

Billy, I love you! But we only have fourteen hours to sell the twat.

You can't blame anyone else than Rodgers. If he had any balls then he should have said no, if we sign him then I will leave. Instead he didn't want to risk his job and accepted the move. Guts is something Rodgers don't have.

Look at Klopp. He made it very sure that he have the last say. He have the balls to fight the committee. Sometimes a manager must have the balls to say no and to risk his job. Rodgers didn't.

Bull Shit. You can't blame Rogers is he didn't want Balotelli. The club had a structure which he signed upto, the failure of Balotelli lands with the TC and John Henry for having the TC in place.

Couldn't agree more JJ. It's staggering to think that someone associated with our club thought it was a good idea.

Having said that (knowing the blind and frankly moronic way I tend to view any new signing in a positive way) - I bet I did... 🙁

Can't we sell loan him out to China and pray he is a success and they then pay us like £25m ish
You have obviously never negotiated a contract with a Chinese company. Once they have him they will throw the contract out and re-negotiate it - we'll end up paying them.

Isn't there a case for putting him on 'gardening' leave (excluding him from all club related activity) and advising his agent that any acceptable deal to him and his client is acceptable to us. It seems to me that the idea of running around looking for cash and/or somewhere for Mario to be is a waste of energy.

Piss off Arn. I'm hardly his biggest fan, but he went as far as to say publicly he wasn't interested in signing Balotelli. The committee clearly fucked up and he was left with the option of Balotelli or nobody. In hindsight nobody would have been a better move, but you can't blame Rodgers for thinking fuck it, it's better than nothing.

Hahaha. Beat me to it.

Our Chinese suppliers renegotiating contracts 13 weeks to store launch of the products (China is a 12 week lead time) was pretty much par for the course.

You often had them sending you an email to tell you the product would be late, you'd tell them they were in breach of contract & they'd say they could get it on time but only if you increased the price. Cheeky bastards.

That said the Indian suppliers were harder to deal with, due to the caste system unless you had the owner of the factory in hand & had them do the contract personally (very tricky to do), they'd often completely disregard the contract. Of you used an in country agent they'd also be ignored as they were almost always lower placed than the factory owners.

Right, so the guy who categorically stated he didnt want him and that he wouldnt work is the one thats to blame for signing him. Thats some Kim Jong Il style logic youve going there

grabs a bucket of soapy water and a sponge

let's shine him up and get him out the door

Rodgers also deliberately sabotaged Balotelli though. There was a match or two when Balotelli was actually putting in the effort and playing well. If I recall, Rodgers then publicly slated Balotelli and benched him.

That's ethically very questionable.

His agent has been talking to several Chinese clubs according to the the Italian media.
If he doesnt want to go there I can assume its about the distance away from his daughter, among other things.

Possibly, but I suspect those other things - his apparent view that he should still be at a big club, and his unwillingness to accept that he's totally fouled his own nest here at LFC - would make him reluctant to go there anyway. Fingers crossed the money persuades him to change his mind.

Apart from his first game against Spurs where he was decent I don't really remember when he was putting in loads of effort, or playing well.

Haha! Too funny and too true. I love the blatant flouting of copyright laws. There is a massive fake Starbucks franchise in Shanghai called 'Starbicks' or something like that. It has the same green and black labelling and everything. Starbucks sued for copyright infringment and lost! Haha! Then there is the X5 rip off that BMW tried to sue for. Same thing 😀

I would consider this rumour bollocks fellas - We bought the fucking lump we are going to be stuck with him I reckon....

It's quite likely there won't be any interest in taking the great lummox off our hands, but we shouldn't allow ourselves to have him wafting around the club like a bad smell. If we can't sell him, we must pay him off IMO.

Yup - What a downer 🙁

I don't know what to make of these moments when you realise a football is about to get even richer by being useless and disruptive

Happens in lots of workplaces though. It's just the sums of money involved which are obscenely higher in football.

I bet they don't usually know how shite and disruptive the employee is beforehand like we did.

It's obscene alright

Yeah, good point. I doubt there's been any Liverpool signing who had more people saying it would be an obvious disaster, even before he signed.
