Woooo!

I'm so, so excited. Really, really, really excited.

Sorting out the house in advance of tomorrows World Cup bbq. My house needs to swap from looking like Toys 'r' Us to a pub complete with beer garden. Not easy.

So I am right in assuming the entire site will be willing Uruguay on, or will Bunny be following them in some fashion?

Same here!

A month of football every day. YES!

I've talked to some family in South Africa - they say the atmopshere is crazy. The country is bouncing.

South Africa may surprise MExico today -

Uruguay should beat France.

COME ON URUGUAY!!!

And thanks for locking the other request, for the reasons outlined therein.

I can barely sleep tonight.

I just don't think SA have enough quality to surprise Mexico LTW although with it being the first game and with home support I can see them maybe sneaking a draw - I'll be doing a small bet against SA winning.

BTW, I'm not supporting Uruguay because it's France, though that doesn't help their case any

I know a farm in Chicago, in it's busiest season, which will be missing its uruguayan manager, tomorrow, and at least a couple other days. The crazy thing is, this being the states, no one will connect the dots.

I'm moving apartments. THIS WEEKEND.

I think we'll both be sufficiently motivated, somehow.

I have about 500 bottles of homebrew, and all of a sudden a lot of friends, so hopefully they'll help the move.

The Lying Rag's coming out tomorrow, too. Everything is falling into place!

It really is bouncing. I think the Mexico game being first gives us the best hope of any progress. The vibe may just carry the team to a result.

Nelson Mandela won't be attending the opening ceremony due to the death of his great-granddaughter last night in a car accident.

Sad day.

Just seen this on Facebook;

"mate.... as i'm 9 hours ahead, i'll msg you the scores so you can put a bet on...!"

Mike Parry, Talksport fuckwit -

"This is the time that the country of South Africa finally pulls itself together and becomes the rainbow nation, a rainbow of......peace and...quiet"

Well I could hardly sleep last night. I've been so excited for so long about this, and here it is.
I want south Africa to progress from the group as I always think a tournament vibe is better when the hosts stay in. But I want Mexico to progress too.
I guess if I could pick results today I'd pick Mexico and Uraguay to win.
I hate France, always have and I'd love them to go out, especially as they shouldn't fucking be there anyways.

In the past I've taken the whole world cup as holiday, but with familial responsibility these days I can't do that, so I've taken today ONE DAY as an act of defiance against the responsible man I have to be. And I'm gonna be drinking at lunchtime and really enjoying the footie day ahead.
Me and Molly are making flags for all the countries in the world cup and she's putting them on the wall. She's nearly as excited as me, although she has more right to be seeing as she is supporting Spain.

The Brazil, Portugal group has been called "The Group Of Death" but I reckon it's SA,France,Mexico,Uruguay.

COME ON URUGUAY!

Hopefully thierry Henry dies today. I'm not sure quite how this might happen, but we can hope.
