I hope we get an easy group and somehow mange to qualify.
I plan to be in France for it, regardless of whether we are there or not

Cheers, went and had a look at it earlier...

9 groups.
Top 2 qualify plus best 3rd place team - 19 teams qualify.
The other 8 3rd place teams go into playoffs - 4 teams qualify, add in the hosts and thats the 24 teams.

Got to be good news for Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

Not sure what the format will be for the tournement though.

4 groups of 6 with top 2 going to the quaters - would presume that would leave to many dead rubber games.

6 groups of 4 with top team going into quaters and the 2 best 2nd place teams? fuck knows tbh.

They will all be there looking at the qualifying format, even Hodgson should coast any group, fancy Scotland to make it this time.

10 years ago. Belgium is a much better and stronger team.
Not to mention Croatia, Ukraine, Sweden and Denmark

The tournament format is going to be 6 groups of 4, with 16 teams going through to the knockout stages consisting of a 'round of 16', a quarter-final, a semi-final and final.

Pleanty of scope there for meaningless games at the group stage.

The qualifying competition is going to be more utter shite than usual without the urgency and stomach-churning of do-or-die matches. UEFA just want to be sure all the top teams make it through instead of losing money and TV ratings when they don't.
