Tomorrow 3rd July. Blimey where did that go? In fact where did my working life go?
I started work in the summer of 1972 with Blake's Main Ford Dealers in Hardman Street Liverpool, now apartments, the Flute, International Inn and Cocoon Hotel. Then in 1983, went to another Ford dealers in Bootle, where I worked until I left in 1989 to join my current company, then The Royal Insurance Company.
Without wanting to tempt fate I have never been unemployed and the number of days sick you could probably count on the fingers of, if not two , probably three hands.
It all seems just like yesterday.
That's it really, I really am an old git.
