For anyone going to the match :

Fans face travel chaos on Saturday as they attempt to get to the Premier League clash with Liverpool.

In their infinite wisdom, the London Underground have decided to go ahead with their engineering works on Saturday and consequently there will be no District or Hammersmith & City Line trains between Barking and Whitechapel on that day.

That means that Plaistow, East Ham and Upton Park stations will all be closed for the game, which kicks off at 5.30pm.

For further information and journey planning, visit the Transport for London website on www.tfl.co.uk

Its interesting that a Liverpool fan in China knows more about the chaos than a Liverpool fan in London who's going to said game.

I always walk from Plaistow when I go to that shitehole. I need a change of plan! I'm not fucking walking from Stratford!

Good job I am not going. Otherwise I might have ended up stranded.

I'd have taken you under my wing.

Advice from Transport For London.

TRAVELLING TO WEST HAM UNITED VERSUS LIVERPOOL AT UPTON PARK ON SATURDAY 19 SEPTEMBER?

If travelling via Euston to the game, you will find it easier to travel via the Northern line to London Bridge, then the Jubilee line to Canning Town, which is around 30 minutes walk from the Boleyn Ground along the Barking Road. Bus Route 5 also operates between Canning Town Station and Upton Park.

If travelling via Barking, the Boleyn Ground is around 30 minutes walk away again along the Barking Road. Bus Route 5 also operates between Barking Station and Upton Park.

Brilliant. Cos the buses will not be fucking packed as it is! Canning Town is a lovely area too...so I get a 4 mile walk to and from the game. That will work up the lager appetite.
