Transfer window has officially gone mad

This could be the maddest January transfer window in years in terms of monies spent..

Spurs have just had a £23m bid for Carroll turned down.. he is good but never worth that, not in a million years!!!!

With Dzeko, Suarez, Bent and possibly Mercenary MK 3 going I think its all gone just a little bit mad..

I really wouldnt mind us signing him if Torres goes although it leaves you with 2 left footed strikers

well somethings not right Bent was never worth the fee Aston Villa paid for him so thats set the benchmark. I'd say Carrol is the better of the two players, a more complete player. Its just the transfer window and its over inflated prices I guess..

Considering his off field troubles and age-- they would be stupid not to sell for that price.

Again - its too late in the transfer window though. The price for them staying in the premier league is more like 46 million. So argubly Carroll could be worth that much if they dont have the time to strengthen their team.....

Why would they? He's a Geordie idol and their one true star. They probably sell 30,000 shirts with his name on it each season. They'd be mad to sell him IMO.

A Newcastle fan I know spoke to him and he said he's off in the summer. He doesn't want to leave put the powers that be have decided. Don't know where though (I don't think they've decided that yet)
