would appreciate if people on here could help me in an argument with a manc friend of mine. He has quoted the following website and claimed that Rafa has spent more then Mr.Ferguson and recouped less since he has joined the club. http://www.transferleague.co.uk/.I was always under the impression that Mr. Ferguson has had way more financial clout than Rafa but these figures suggest that since 04 we have spent a net £113.65m compared to their £27.6m

I understand Paul Tomkins has his individual startegy for calculating transfers but i cant seem to find it.

Any helpgreatly appreciated

Wouldnt anyone with a brain expect Rafa to have spent more since joining. He had to build an entirely new squad, with the exception of Stevie and Carra.
Ferguson on the other hand already had his squad at that stage so all he has to do is replace one or two players per season. Rafa's been here for five years, Ferguson's been there for 23 ( during which time he has amassed a grand total of 2 european cups).
And stop calling him Mr!

I certainly agree that Mr is better than Sir. But there are much better choices than either of those
