Emphasis on the OUR because people seem to forget that we, the public, own these, yet against almost everyone's wishes they (& labour before them it must be added) keep selling them to balance the books, regardless of whether it's in the public interest or whether they make a profit.
You'll not that the land registry service actually makes a profit every year, & they're are many big benefits to having it under public sector control, but the article sums it up better than I.
