No, he didn't. He was still playing for us the other day. Or are we that stupid these days we pay the players a month in advance?

Yes he played in a 2-1 win against derby on the 20th. Then him and conor coady gave a stupid interview the next day chatting about the game and how they shouldn't be conceding those types of goals.

The first thing i thought is, well you fucking did concede that type of goal. What the fuck is the point of coming out afterwards saying oh, i shouldn't have done that. Fuck you, the only thing they should do is hand in their resignations. Where the fuck do they think they are, barnardo's?

Apologies if that's the case, I read on both here & another forum last week that he'd left. I'm not following teh ressies or youth team this season, I've barely enough time to follow us unfortunately.

Ironically the ressies are having a boss season. Perhaps I should stop following the first team.

Ince strikes in Blades draw
18th Apr 2010 - Latest News

Tom Ince was on target as Liverpool under-18s claimed a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

The young winger pulled the Reds level late in the second-half after the home side had opened the scoring with a long range drive.

It means Rodolfo Borrell's side have now gone seven matches unbeaten, a run that the coach believes they can extend if they continue to show the right attitude.

"It was a tough game and a difficult playing surface but we showed good character to come from behind and earn the draw," Borrell told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"The first half was very equal but after the break we were better in possession and had some good chances to score the second goal."

He added: "I am happy with our continued improvement, however, this is is not the time for us to relax. We have made significant strides in the last few months, but we must work even harder now because we still have a long way to go.

"We are on the right track and there is no doubt that winning matches has helped the confidence of the team. But these young players need to push on and ensure they keep improving all the time."

Liverpool under-18s: Oldfield, Flanagan, Robinson, Wisdom, Sama, Coady, Sterling, Roddan, Ngoo (Silva 60), Adorjan, Ince. Unused subs: Emilsson, Chamberlain, Ihiekwe, Giglio.

Adorjan and Ngoo look very impressive..

Ngoo scored from a mazy run a few weeks ago. Quite impressive. Big BIIG strong lad and good in the air too.

Wisdom has played a few on the right wing.. which is very unusual as he played centre back initially....but he actually looks very good out there.. ive been impressed with Borello playing players in different positions and they look suited to them.

Thats supposed to be one of his biggest talents. Figuring out where a player will play best.

So up until now we've mistakenly been playing a right winger at centre-back, eh?

No wonder the academy has failed to produce any players in the last 10 years.

Carra was played as a striker for a full season by the club under kenny with one of our best youth team
managers ever. Players are often played in many different positions before they find their best one.

It also helps players develop skills too, a cb is sometimes played as cm to develop composure on the ball and passing etc.

A la Barthez at left wing? But he probably should have stayed there.

If I'm not mistaken he didn't actually change positions to do that, but was a striker when we signed him to begin with.

If i remember right, he played in the Derby there where Gary Mac scored that free kcik at the end, and Gerrard dominated Unsworth.

Babbel certainly started that game at RB - he scored one of our goals, a real stormer. Maybe Stevie replaced him later on?

Actually, rewind that. Stevie did start out at RB in the first team but it was before Babbel came. He was playing in midfield by that time.

Chavs want Paul Ince's son Thomas to shape the future
Wednesday April 28,2010
By Tony Banks

CHELSEA want to poach Paul Ince’s teenage son Thomas from Liverpool as part of their drive for youth this summer.

Talented winger Thomas, 18, has been at Liverpool’s academy since he was 16 and is one of their most highly rated prospects. He is expected to make it into the first-team soon, at the club where his father spent two years.

Thomas has a year left on his Anfield contract and Chelsea scouts, under orders to bring bright young talent to Stamford Bridge, have watched him regularly. The club are trying to put together a deal to persuade Ince to come to London for the start of next season, but Liverpool are desperate to hang on to him.
