I've always said managers have no magical ability to make a squad of players better than they are.
You, and a whole host of others continue to believe that they do - so when I point out the evidence it's not trolling. It's showing you, again, that conventional wisdom in football is sheer idiocy. Most clubs realise it at this point, but fans seem to be light years behind.
You'd actually know more about football if you started with no knowledge and made sensible observations based on the evidence in front of you rather than be 'educated' in the traditional thinking and constantly refer to it as if it means something.
People said Swansea would be fucked without Rodgers, likewise Spurs would be fucked without Harry - amazingly with the squads being largely the same (albeit both sold their best player- another conventional wisdom no no) they've done largely what they did last year.
Chelsea's points average under Rafa is virtually the same as it was under Di Matteo this season - despite the fact that 90% of this site thinks he's a magician and Di Matteo is clueless. And that 90% will continue to believe that regardless of what evidence is put before them.
