say 3,000 fans at £40 a pop divided by 11 players and 3 subs = £8,500 each - (about 3-4 days pay on average)
 
Nice gesture.

And yes, even though it's probably less than half a week's wages, it's still a nice gesture.

Maybe I'm not the only 'romantic' out there after all.
 
That's good of them, I can't imagine many teams would have done that off their own backs.

It would have been £40 x 3500.

I've never been to Wigan.

A mere look at the fucking po-faced pikeys that inahbit the JJB on a fortnightly basis though leads me to believe there isn't much by the way of popular 21st Century culture.

I dont like that shaved-head-but-leave-a-fringe look that you get in those northern towns. And thats just the women.
