Well now that you say it, didn't a recent article say that four out of the six non resident owners were from overseas.
Wouldn't be surprised if they are Irish.
I recall about ten years ago a lad from Northern Ireland who was living in Australia saying that there was lots of great investment properties to be had in Liverpool

Scouser, big LFC fan (tho' didn't ever play for the club), ex-striker for Newcastle (also Coventry and Pompey when they weren't bad), now a racehorse trainer and sports broadcaster.
