What were the determining factors in choosing a St. Jakob-Park? They were not thinking of the fans at all as a huge chunk of seating goes to corporate clients, forcing fans to pay touts thousands and in many cases these tickets will be fake or invalid at the gates. This is a fucking disgrace considering the number of 60k+ stadiums that there are in Europe.

It's absurd but there's nothing can be done. It's like they think using a large stadium would threaten the Champions League somehow. It just typifies Uefa - bunch of mongs who genuinely don't give a damn about the fans.

I guess the problem is if a couple of the smaller teams make the final. Empty seats don't look good.

It'd be more practical to move it once a team with a lot of fans looks like being in the final though.
