It's akin to Scottish devolution - it only has to happen once and they'll keep trying until it happens.
I'm not. If it happens (Heaven forbid) it'll take football right away from ordinary fans and mean that money has bought the whole game up once and for all.
Not sure how different planned CL 2024 is to the original Super league proposal anymore.

If the Super league had promotion and relegation then would imagine it’s quiet similar apart from run by different set of overloards. After current UEFA’s handling of Paris and the subsequent fall out, not sure I give much of a shite anymore.
So many things about UEFA i absolutely loath now including their current sense of entitlement.

Football (at the very least at the top level) is barely in the hands of ordinary fans right now. Money has ran this game since 92. The Liverpool of today is nowhere near the liverpool of the 80s. UEFA effectively have a super league as is, and FIFA dictate even more.
For me, the differences would be negligible

This really changes football. I worry about the away fan presence that makes football so interesting...At the moment its 3 away games in the league section and then possible games in the knockout stages. Now away fans would have to arrange away games for an entire proper full season in Europe. How many can away fans afford to book trips to Europe every other week? Ok, admittedly this isn't as bad for the English teams but in any county that only has fewer representatives, their fans would definitely have to do more away travelling with all the expenses...Basically, I worry that this will affect the away fan experience that makes football so unique. Instead, Football becomes more like the American sports where you generally only get home support in the stadiums with little away fan presence.
It's a fucking terrible idea.
Domestic footy always comes first for me - I even struggle to care that much about the Champions League. Wouldn't give a shit about some trumped-up, no-jeopardy competition like the Super League.
Would much rather have the giggles of winding up the Blue Shite in the office on Monday morning than gloat over how well we were doing in some competition they weren't even playing in.

This is why they are cunts, imagine being so bad at PR that your scheme causes mass protests throughout Europe and the virtually the exact same proposal from Uefa is waved through 12 mo the later. Being more incompetent than Uefa is incredible
Sad to hear, for me there's no banter like giving it to them blue shites for not being able to qualify for the Europa nevermind the Elite.
Football is already a TV/Media sport. Owners are increasingly billionaires, states or consortiums. A Super League seems inevitable to me. It will take very brave executives to rule their respective clubs out if an offer of a place (and guaranteed income stream) in an elite competition is made.
It's sad but given the money sloshing around in the game I'd bet clubs and players would swallow any misgivings they have if sufficient treasure is offered.
