Great player but one could argue that Everton are already covered in that CM / DM position. There are far bigger issues that they need to address.

To be fair, he's exactly what they need. Deep lying defensive mid to replace Barry and play alongside Gueye, whilst allowing McCarthy & Barkley to do less of the grunt work they've been forced to do. Good signing.

Mourinho hasn't actually seemed - until the last couple of months anyway - what his best midfield is, the only ever-present has been Pogba.

He's tried a few combinations, but very few seem to include Schneiderlin. Certainly is a bit odd that he'd prefer Fellaini, even if that big fucking galoot hasn't been ever present either.
