Liverpool Football Club today unveiled plans for a new supporter consultation group that it hopes will allow fans to help shape the club's future through regular and constructive dialogue with senior LFC officials.

The Liverpool FC Supporters' Committee will consist of 17 democratically appointed fans who will represent all of the major stakeholder groups amongst our supporter base.

The Liverpool FC Supporters' Committee will meet four times a season at Anfield with senior Club staff - the owners will be present for at least two of the meetings - to discuss the issues and ask the questions that most affect them and the fans they represent.

The minutes of each meeting will be published online and in print for all of our supporters to read within 48 hours of the meeting ending.

Clearly this is a good idea, but I can't help but think this was partly designed to take the wind from beneath the SOS sails.

Anyway, I'd love to see someone from here get on the committee - like Vlad, FFF, Sunny.

Is anyone going to apply ?

The list of groups to be covered is a bit strange, are they trying to say that people who are LGBT may have different views from those who are not?

Anyway, it would be pretty good if someone from here got on it. I have a feeling EOTK from twitter will harp on about this for weeks so I may have to unfollow him!

I hope some on here do apply.

If I thought I could make it to Anfield 4 times a year once I'm home I'd apply too.

WOnder if teleconferencing is allowed 🙁

Dunno, been mulling it over, I dont really feel I'm in that much of a position to comment as Liverpool doesnt take as much time or thought in my life as it once did.

I still have an opinion on everything like, so I suppose that makes me qualified in a way, but the fact I can hardly ever afford to get the game means I feel less qualified than others.

I reckon MarkMc should get on there myself.

Glock for the international one? Zlatan?

probably more suitable for the disabled one

Vlad, Mark Mc or Sunny. Local, season ticket holders and know their stuff.

Surprised there is not more comment on this one. Everyone on here is always bitching but here is a chance to do something constructive (or at least get you view across - I can hardly see there being any consensus of opinion though - ha ha ) !

There are more than a couple of people here that are more than qualified Vlad, Portly, Mark Mc etc .. but just keep Brendan away from them !

I'm going to apply for the international one. Why the fuck not.

"I HAVE to go to anfield again, sorry but it's in the job description."

I think they've been quite clever with the 17 positions all having to rep different items. It means that season ticket holders get no more voice than gays, so it means that this is just lip service to satisfy the gathering mob and if anything shows that these yank fucks fear SoS - and on that basis SCM, I'm out.
