December was perfect.

What will we experience in Jan?

12 points and it’s a huge step towards to the title.

10 and we are in a very strong position if that 1 point is against City.

9 and it’s all to play for

Anything less and we are in a dog fight we will lose.

We could really do with a large buffer before the CL starts back up

Seeing that one of those games is in the FA Cup I suspect we are unlikely to accumulate fifteen points. So I guess the best we can hope for at the end of January is for four league wins and it is all still to play for.

Avoid defeat at city (but hopefully take the game to them) and then continue to maintain our high standards

Facing the two teams that derailed city - huge huge statement to breeze through both of those
 
I’d fuck off the FA cup. Just openly admit it’s a b team that will be played in the competition whilst we have a shot at the league. I just want to win all our league games.

Adjust it all by 3.

I’d like to see us stay in the cup. Winning is a good habit
 
Going to drop points in 3 of those league games, suffer critical injury and advance in FA Cup which will contribute to fixture congestion
 
Putting aside the Man City game - all those other games are winnable except the Wolves one - I think we may go out of the cup, given that we are away from home, and also the fact that we will play a sub-team which will not be able to compete with Wolves. On the other games - we have to be at our best to win them.
 
Why should we give up the FA cup?
I mean there's sufficient time between the games.
 
Also worth noting that Wolves will be knackered after the festive period too. I would hope we are waiting to see the City result before we think about team for the FA Cup - but at a minimum it should be full backs and strikers fully rotated (and the token Mignolet in goal for Macca) with a strong midfield likely seeing Lallana, Keita & Hendo in there.

Draw or beat City and I think we can go harder at the FA Cup than if we lose. If we lose I think it is imperative to rest some players ahead of the next set of PL games.
