[article=http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/raheem-sterling-im-happy-liverpool-8696970]Liverpool's hard-fought 2-0 win over Southampton at St Mary's

Liverpool moved above Tottenham and into the top six after extending their unbeaten Premier League run to 10 matches.

Brendan Rodgers' side are now only three points adrift of third placed Arsenal after digging deep to secure victory in treacherous conditions on the south coast.

It's the first time since May 1985 that Liverpool have kept five successive away league clean sheets.[/article]

Credit to Rodgers and the switch in formation as the back three have certainly helped solidify the defense but Ming has been excellent recently.

He still flaps at the ball from time to time and his command of the box is shaky at times but he has been at his best with his shot stopping during this latest stretch.

I can think of two to three outstanding saves almost ever match for him over the past month and a half.

Now I'm back to wondering again if we will buy a keeper in the summer or not.

I hope we buy a young keeper with potential to keep him on his toes, someone like Matt Ryan, I'm not sure we need to spend big though.

This is the Ming Dynasty flag BTW. This would make for a very obscure banner at the Kop.

And here comes my new avatar. Suarez's "question mark" heat map joins "Rafa in the lotus pose" in Hades.

He's certainly turned it around extremely well from where he was 10 games ago when every single fan wanted the back of him.

Hopefully he can keep this level of consistency up however I still have my doubts.

Hmmm I'm shocked at this stat

Clean sheets this season in the league

MING 10
Fabianski 9
Courtois 8
Hart 8
De Gea 7
Lloris 6
Krul 6

Don't be.
Mignolet has been among our top two performers since he returned from his exile.
What more does he need to do to get the fucking love? Sure he was shite at the beginning of the season but the lad is top, top drawer right now.
That's all I need to throw it all in for a player.

Gotta say I didn't think Rogers or Ming would have turned things around. Credit to them both.

There is a long line of players who have made me look a cunt over the years, but its normally because I think they are brilliant and they turn out to be utter shite.
Mignolet is the other way round along with Kuyt and Wonderman.

He looks absolutely outstanding. And credit to him for taking being dropped and doing something about it.

I said it last season and the beginning of this (before he proper went full retard), EVERY goalkeeper needs stability in front of him. Confidence comes with communication and understanding. He now knows his back line and how they'll play

agreed, as someone posted somewhere, even Lovren looked good in the current system. Whatever the defensive deficiencies of Rodgers are, they are overcome by the current system. Now all the three current CBs (3) and Mignolet exactly know who is going to react to that situation and how. And the personal improvements have helped them all.

Would be hilarious and wonderful if Mignolet won the Golden Glove this year. I wanted him dead 3 months ago.

It was so bad at one point that Brad Jones even got a game. It's bizarre. Has a keeper ever been so rock bottom yet turn it around so quickly?

Not only dod Brad Jones get a game, Brad Jones had been installed as our number 1! BRAD. JONES. If Brad Jones is inspiring more confidence than you then you really are in a dark place. You're in the seventh circle of goalkeeping hell.

He was outstanding last night. Dealt with every cross and agressive coming off his line.
That header with Barnes sums up his comeback.

He's still not quite there, in terms of being decisive. Against City he was slow off his line, yesterday it was like someone had given him a rollicking about it, because he was off his line almost unnecessarily at times.

Hey ho, he's been great of late and his shot stopping is fantastic. He's done really well.
