No Gerry Byrne? Probably the hardest player , apart from Souness to play for us. Played virtually the whole of the 65 cup final with a broken collar bone

Nope. Gerry Byrne - a boyhood bluenose incidentally - was the only man who ever made Tommy Smith hesitate before going into a tackle with him, and played all but the first couple of minutes of our first F.A.Cup Final win in 1965 (before substitutes were allowed) with a broken collarbone. Dicks was nasty, but Gerry Byrne would have broken him in half.

Indeed. I seem to remember another story where a player had been giving another of our team grief and when the ref's back was turned Case throw a right cross and put him on the floor and jogged off in another direction. Might have been a European opponent.

They were room mates on away games and after a bad defeat in Europe (might have been Tbilisi?), Jimmy was making a scene in the bar so Ray came along, punched him, knocked him out, put him over his shoulder and put him to bed. That's in someone's autobiog. Possibly Souness'.
