Easy to play, hard to master is the game's tagline and quite few venerable SCM posters have tried and failed to master it.

I'm too busy kicking everyone's arse at Fantasy footy this year. I did try this a couple of years ago but kept forgetting about it so thought it best to bow out and let someone else have a go.

So far the stats prove that the Irish (with the exception of Rosco), Welsh and Danes make the best managers, with the Scousers and English being the worst.

The game is simple, set a formation and some basic tactics by thinking along the lines of what your opponent is doing and build your squad up by developing players and purchasing players.

It doesn't really take all that much time. I manage just one team and spend about an hour a week on the game fussing about tactics/betting etc, but I'm convinced a better job can be done by spending merely half hour a week... I suspect Portly already knows how to do that.

if you count being so shit that you stay in the bottom division for so long that youre team inevtably grows as cheating then yes i am! all the teams i started with are doing so much better...

That stat does not tell the full story. When we started we were in the bottom division with the worst squad the game has ever known, now we're comfortably the second best side in the game with the number 1 ranked manager.

The likes of Doc, StevieM, JJ, Rosco and Refugee used to mock my club on a regular basis, now they just keep their gobs shut because they know what they'll be getting when they turn up at St. Benitez Park.
