Ok. Two weeks till the start of the new season. So whats your best guess for our next fortnight?
Realistically who will come and go between now and kick off, AND what will be our first 11 and bench come the visit to White Hart Lane on the 16th?

Heres my prediction.
Out-Alonso, Dossena, Voronin.
In-Aquilani, Negredo, Distin.

1st team
Reina
Insua
Agger
Carragher
Johnson
Mascherano
Aquilani
Kuyt
Riera
Gerrard
Torres.

Bench.
Cavalieri
Distin
Degen
Babel
Benayoun
Negredo
Lucas.

Aquilani faces a race against time to be fit for the start of the season. I think we have to brace ourselves for a starting Lucas.

Other than that I think you're spot on mate.

I pretty much agree - although I think we'll still have Voronin and Negredo could possibly be another Real Madrid player, but I do think think he's the most likely.

It's not great really but I guess it'll do.

Why's it "the end of the summer" in 2 weeks time? Doesn't the transfer window stay open until the end of August?

Anyway, looks like we'll lose Alonso and get this Aquilani chap. A fucking awful swap.

The summer ended here in May, after two weeks of mild infrequent sunshine.

Global warming my arse.

OUT: Xabi.
IN: Aquilani.

I think all the other transfers will drag on until the end of the transfer window, and I'm afraid we'll end up missing out on a striker/winger because our targets are all beyond our means.

Starting line-up for Spurs:

Reina

Johnson - Carra - Agger - Insua

Mascher - Gerrard

Kuyt - Yossi - Riera

Torres

When as a kid you put jumpers on the grass and played football cos there wasn't any on TV?

It's a suggestion I suppose.

The Kuba link has gone completely cold hasn't it? I'm sure we'll get him then.

Right-winger with posshibility to play at right back too. Would be a great little not-so-expensive-signing. Makes perfect sense.

A new midfielder instead of Alonlso is a given and at least one Dutchman from Madrid will be involved in the deal. Sneijder and this Aqua-man wouldn't be to shabby I reckon.

Kuba
Aquaman
Sneijder
Unknown CB back-up. (Or known to me should we spunk £3M on Zanka from FC Copenhagen who's got a great future ahead of him).
