So we don't have to see that gormless faced Grant anymore but who will join WHU in the Championship next season?

15 Blackburn 37 -14 40
16 Wolves 37 -19 40
17 Birmingham 37 -20 39
18 Blackpool 37 -21 39
19 Wigan 37 -22 39

Man Utd v Blackpool
Stoke v Wigan
Tottenham v Birmingham
Wolverhampton v Blackburn

I'm hoping for Birmingham and Blackburn
If Birmingham win though, Liverpool have a better chance for 5th so I'm going for Blackpool

Good point, I forgot about the repercussions as I was just picking the teams I don't like. I'll change my pick to Blackpool as well
Blackpool
Wigan
Agreed. I reckon those games will all turn out home wins.

Well West Ham have sacked him so he might pop up somewhere else. Probably not though given his dismal record

Wigan and Blackpool to go

How often do you see a team win a trophy and then get relegated?
Very very rarely.

Happened in 1985 when Norwich won the league cup but that could well have been the last time

I want Blackburn down.
Oh if we are talking about what we want then i'd like to see Blackburn and Wolves go down but that is extremely unlikely sadly

This will be the United team
Van der sar
Fabio
Evans
Smalling
Brown

O'shea
Scholes
Obertan
Bebe
Owen
Berbatov

Blackpool must fancy their chances even away from home.
Im gonna say they make it.
Wigan and Brum to drop.

Wigan to drop, let's get McCarthy on the cheap
I have decided Blackburn deserve to go down after the cynical performance against the Scum on Saturday, when their players co-operated with the United players by not making any attempt to dispossess United when they chose to pass the ball around at the back to kill time and settle for a point.

I would like Wigan to stay up - I like Martinez and I think they play entertaining football. Rodallega is a great player IMO.

Oh yeah, definitely McCarthy first, how could I forget!?

I agree Portly...

Ideally it would be Blackburn and Birmingham but it looks highly unlikely that it'll be them both. Blackburn for reasons already pointed out with a 15-20 minute spell straight out of the West Germany vs Austria WC 1982 blueprint, plus they seem to be a continuous mid-table outfit that rarely upsets the apple cart, whereas the other teams involved in the battle to avoid relegation have performed admirably against the top teams. Birmingham due to their form against us in recent years and seem to be our bogey team, although in saying that, we'll be glad to see a few of these teams going down a division next season because we haven't gained six points against any of the bottom 6 this term.

Birmingham 0-0 Liverpool
Liverpool 5-0 Birmingham (4 pts)

Liverpool 2-1 Blackburn
Blackburn 3-1 Liverpool (3 pts)

Liverpool 1-2 Blackpool
Blackpool 2-1 Liverpool (0 pts)

Liverpool 3-0 West Ham United
West Ham United 3-1 Liverpool (3 pts)

Wigan Ath. 1-1 Liverpool
Liverpool 1-1 Wigan Athl. (2 pts)

Liverpool 0-1 Wolves
Wolves 0-3 Liverpool (3 pts)

Want them to go down:
- Blackburn (ambition-less shitheads), Blackpool (Holloway's wisecracks getting really tiring)

Think they'll go down:
- Blackburn, Blackpool

I want Wigan to stay up because they play pretty neat football on their day. Not too enamored with Wolves and Brummies but not too many complaints about them either (I'd have wanted them to go down if Bruce was still boss at Birmingham).

Avram Grant. The man with a head like a ballbag.

Cheerio you dullard fuck.
According to gossip retailed by Lawrenson and Lee Dixon on BBC Match of the Day 2 last night, it's gonna be "Hello Avram!" when he moves to Chelsea in some capacity - if not as manager, then director or football.

I found that surprising, but that's what they said.

Now McLaren will be their boss, challenge indeed

Holloway loving his own voice again. He's turning into Brown; will probably break into a song if they survive the drop too (I hope they don't!).

Premier League wants us relegated, says Blackpool's Ian Holloway

• Manager angry over league's stance on final match
• 'They will be relieved if we lose and get relegated'

The Blackpool manager, Ian Holloway, has claimed the Premier League would be glad to see the back of his team if they lose their fight for survival at Manchester United on Sunday.

Holloway is furious at claims United could be fined if Sir Alex Ferguson fields an understrength team and Blackpool secure top-flight survival by becoming the first team this season to win at Old Trafford.

Not only does Holloway feel it undermines his own team, he is also indignant at the suggestion Ferguson is not bothered about finishing the Premier League season on a high note. And he is coming to the view that the game's authorities do not want him around.

"They will be relieved if we lose and get relegated," said Holloway. "Then I am not badgering them. I am so annoyed. Sir Alex Ferguson is a winner. He would never dream of not being interested in winning any match.

"That man deserves to pick whatever team he wants to pick. No one should question it. Look at his record. Those people running the game, what planet are they on? They must have beamed down from planet Zarf. They are not in the right world.

"They think we can only beat Manchester United if they are weak. What a load of baloney. Unfortunately, that is what we are dealing with."

Holloway added: "Already, they are saying Blackpool can't beat them. I am glad I don't go to work thinking that, otherwise I would never have got promoted last year.

"I would have been relegated from the Championship because that is what everyone said was going to happen.

"That attitude offends me. It upsets me on a personal note about my club and definitely on a Manchester United note. How dare they talk about Sir Alex like that? Haven't they seen his hairdryer? Haven't they seen how successful he is?

"Ask Schalke if they think Manchester United have a weak team. On Sunday, we have to try and do the impossible. It's got to be perfect. No one else has beaten them. And if we do, they might get fined because we are rubbish."

Dont know about the FA but i cant wait for that cunt to fuck off back down the Endsleigh.
'Oh he's so funny, such a breath of fresh air'
NO, he's a fucking prick.

I hope to fuck Wigan stay up. Ive really enjoyed watching them play this year and in martinez they have a coach who wants to do it the right way, i like him a lot.
Hope they make it.

I have never been a fan of McLeish's (sorry Doc) and although it was a good achievement that they won the League Cup I'd like to see them get relegated to vindicate my opinion that he's not a good manager. Also, if they get relegated we should sign Roger Johnson.

In one paper yesterday we were linked with Scott Dann.
We're always linked with him instead of his much superior partner Johnson, it's annoying.
