I know I usually come on here to moan about how utterly shit we are, BUT if the 2015/15 glass is truly half full and not half empty what are the positives that will come out of this coming season?
No negatives allowed...

I'm willing to believe:
Benteke will score a shitload.
Lallana will be much better this season.
Clyne will prove a good signing.
Millner will be a huge influence on games and the squad in general.
Ibe will make Sterling a distant memory (he already is for me)

Fucking hard not to list any negatives like!

The defence will still be exposed, and our goalkeeper is still no good.

We'll win absolutely nothing with this manager's attitude towards defending.

Sorry to piss on your positive chips.

I believe Henderson and Milner will be an absolutely superb midfield partnership and will score and assist a lot more than people are expecting.

So, the very first post in thread about feeling positive, in which Sean explicitly says only list positives .. what does Ryan do ? There are plenty of other threads in which you've expressed those feelings already. 🙄

I missed the bit about "no negatives" first time around.

Soz sean.

I'm on board with all of those. Plus ...
Firmino - he's going to be superb
Our new strikers will outscore last season's by about 4 or 5 :1
Gomez will break through into the 1st team and be a sensation
Ming showed massive improvement in the 2nd half of last season, he will continue in that vein.
Sturridge will avoid injury for all but the first 2 months and having a flu virus in January (a forlorn hope I know but still)
We will finish in the Top 4 and win the EL.

If you can't feel positive before the season begins then you really are a miserable git !

Milner will prove to be one of the signings of the season.
Firmino will surprise a few with his work rate and skill.
Him and Coutinho will link up and take piss out of loads of teams.
Clyne will be a very good signing.
Sakho will establish himself himself as our best centre back.

Enrique will get even better at table tennis and Fifa.
Joe Allens beard will get its own song.
Bogdan will become a legend after saving several penalties in a league cup penalty shoot out win.
Pascoes new book "A shorts for every occasion" will be under every Christmas tree in December.

Hendo will score 10 league goals
Clyne will be epic
Bentekkers and Ings will form a great partnership with Studge becoming more of an impact sub to save his glass legs

1999/2000:
Houllier bought 8 guys in one window: 1 keeper, 2 defenders, 1 centre mid, 1 attacking mid, 3 strikers
- Westerveld, Hyypia, Henchoz, Hamann, Smicer, Heskey, Camara and Meijer.

We went from 7th to 4th that season, and obviously some of those guys hung around for a few years and won a few cups. A couple of legends in there too.

2015/2016:
Rodgers brought in 8 guys in one window: 1 keeper, 2 defenders, 1 centre mid, 1 attacking mid, 3 strikers
- Bogdan, Clyne, Gomez, Milner, Firmino, Benteke, Ings, Origi (okay I'm cheating a little).

Hmm...

You forgot Reus.

I think Milner is a better player than the Gerrard of the past 3 years who we crowbarred into the team.
Can, Markovic, Moreno and Ibe will all benefit from a season of playing in the league.
Mignolet got stronger as the season went on and is going to be ok.
The signings are good.
We have options.

And

PHILLIPE FUCKING COUTINHO!!!!

We are stronger and have a multitude of attacking options. We've got a new coaching set up so hopefully they can instil some defensive organisation. Provided we can find a first XI quickly, we're gonna be a force.

Sorry to piss on everybody's cornflakes, but it genuinely amazes me how people never seem to learn. Have the past 25 years taught some people nothing? We will be lucky to finish top 4.

If we do well. YAY. When we don't? Klopp is set for the Kop. With a very good squad at his disposal.
