Rather than start a new thread.... Can anyone tell me if it actually was Hodgson who identified him?
 
I posted on another thread that Liverpool to win and Raul to score at any time was 17/1.

But Meireles was hardly unknown. He was a stand-out performer for Portugal in the world cup.

He's been great - but it is an interesting subject as to where they're all going to fit when Lou and Andy are playing. Maybe Woy was right to stick Ming on the Wing!

Whatever happens, we're going to be a fuckload more dangeorus for the back half of this season that the last couple - which says a lot about how that transfer window worked out.
 
He seems to be best behind the striker rather than deep in midfield. Let's hope he retains the position.

I think we should have some handegg type stats 'completed forward yards' in passing, and average out which way the effing ball went. Then we'd see the true value of Lucas's passing range statistically. I can already see it with my eyes.

Fuck off. We've been there before. Lucas passes accurately, and the majority (ovewhelmingly) of his passes are forwards.

Start giving the lad some credit. You're going to have to get used to it anyway.
 
I had to run into work to be in for six after the match.

First customer get's out a wad of £550 thanks to a 0-1, Meireles bet.

The same bet was advertised in the betting shop window for the last three days.
