He's pretty much absolved himself of all blame in the interviews he did last week. It will be interesting to hear if he expands his list of players we nearly bought.

His take on the Suarez affair might also be interesting, unless the club gagged him as part of his settlement.

Let it go, Damien, for gawd's sake. Although I hope they ask him about who were all the big names who'd 'bought into what we''re doing' he mentioned straight after the cup win.

actually so far he's only said good things about liverpool and cleared up the tom ince situation

Commoli said that liverpool made 5 contract offers to tom ince and he turned them all down. he didn't feel that liverpool's style wouldn't suit him. Didn't like uncle woys style at all so he left. he would have been on a very high wage if he had signed but wasn't about money but playing time and style. So he said that we never just let him go, he wanted to leave and they tried everything to get him to sign a new deal.

Thats quite interesting!

saying downing created as many goal chances as he did in his last season at Villa but Darren Bent put them in

Stats back it up

its not just about stats though. what about your mentality? there are many players that look good on stats, like darren bent, but doesn't mean he's good enough for liverpool fc.

My scientifc method for judging players valued at 15-20M plus is what other top clubs are in for that player? When it came to Donging, there was no one. When it came to AC, apprantly there was Spurs who stopped bidding at 20M.

Who else is in for Sturridge?

I'm a bit confused - this was Ince not liking Hodgson's style? But didn't he only leave the following summer?

Nice defence of his work.

Well one of the signings was good, you just didnt realise it because the two strikers I bought couldn't finish.

Anyway, any cunt that relies on a stat as moronic as 'chance creation' is doomed

So it was all AC's fault.

He certainly didn't help matters because I remember watching Carroll failing to attack crosses put in by Downing and found myself ranting about him being a lazy shite. By the time Carroll improved at the end of the season it was far too late to save Downing's season or reputation for assists.

Keys (twat): one word Damian, if you were not at Liverpool would they have signed Suarez. yes/no
Commoli : No

Fuck off keys, you bit part, sacked fucking perv.
What a stupid question.

i think he left after the half season of kenny didn't he? kenny and commoli tried persuading him to stay, but he didn't feel like he was going to get much first team opportunities, and didn't like our playing style apparently. But his mind was pretty made up during uncle woy. i swear thats what he said.

downing only put in one or two decent crosses a match at best, the rest were shite.

Who else is in for Sturridge?

Who else was in for Suarez?

Or Xabi?

Suarez, Chelsea and Juve were interested.

Torress - Utd had made a number of bids over the years, AF said as much, adding 'he wouldn't come and also saying '"you'd be surprised how quick he was"

Mascher's situation was a little different in that there was all the third party crap associated with him as well as the fcat he hardly playes at WHU.

Xabi was a dead cert for Real but the deal broke down, again Xabi said as much.

As for AC and Donging, then pretty much no one, which begs the question why the fek did we pay so much for players who apparantly wanted to leave their respective clubs.

I'm just curious as to whether no other club is in for Sturridge.

Source for Xabi? Never seen this before.

You missed Spurs for Suarez, and also Carroll (pity they didn't pip us for him).

Sturridge has played for two of the biggest teams in the country the last few years - left Citeh for more money/opportunities, and leaving Chelsea so he can play. He's scored goals, and let's HOPE he can be what our scouts think he can be. I'm not confident but I'm hoping.

If I recall correctly he also said that Torres doesnt score goals
