After spending two to three minutes on his youtube compilations, I am impressed. Correct me if I am wrong, but he looks more like a Mount style of player, attacking with skills, than Fabinho or Thuram. I can see where @rurikbird comment on Salah replacement is coming from. The kid has dribbling skills.

The thing I don't get about FBref sometimes is how his pass percentile of 80% is so far over in the green section yet his progressive carries & progressive passes (which are very high) are into the red zone yet you'll have a player of similiar calibre with a 83% let's say pass percentile (like Hendo) and it'll be in the red zone and much lower progressive carries/passes into the grey zone/pushing green.

Wouldv'e loved him to stay at the time but in hindsight it turned out to be the best thing to happen to this FC in 30 years. (or 2nd best.....best happened on 22nd October 2015).

I can have no animosity towards the guy, we were going no where at the time...neither him nor the fans knew what lied in wait.

Coutinho Sterling Sturridge Suarez which phased into Coutinho Salah Mane Firmino for a short while was as good as it'll get.
