I know it's a little early to discuss it but my mate got me a ticket so i'm incredibly excited.

I'd love to see this team but i think it's unlikely:

Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
Downing Lucas Adam Bellamy
Carroll Suarez

What team would you play?

------- Reina -------

Kelly(if fit) --- Skrtel --- Agger --- Enrique

Maxi ---- Lucas ---- Adam --- Bellamy

------ Suarez ------- Carroll

3-0 Reds!

Reina

Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique

Lucas Adam
Henderson Downing
Carroll Suarez

Will probably be the line up.

Swanse play two deep CM's who don't break forward too much.
I don't think we need Lucas for this one.

Pepe
Kelly Carra Agger Jose
Downing Adam Hendo Bellamy/Maxi
Carroll Suarez

Henderson and Downing on the wings is just a little, well, boring. We're at home to Swansea blimin City - Yes we said the same thing about Norwich and look what happened there, but that was a freaky result and on any other day we'd have won 4 or 5-0.

Would much rather a bit of pace, skill and flair which Bellamy and Maxi provide.

of course, I'd love that.
Not gonna happen though.

Reina
Kelly Skrtel Agger Enrique
Henderson Lucas Downing
Maxi Carroll Suarez

Allows Luis to drop to the front of a diamond formation and brings Henderson more central where he is more effective. Maxi can play between the lines where he is more effective.

I've picked Kelly because I believe he is defensively stronger and with a midfield three that's where we could be weaker, on the flanks. But both Kelly and Enrique can provide the width necessary with Lucas holding in front of the back four.

Bellamy and Adam can be straight swaps for Maxi and Henderson and Downing can switch flanks. That's the right team, right there!

Mark FTW. I've wanted this for awhile.

Like i said against Norwich .......Carroll has to start if fit . He scored last week , Kenny said it was his best game for us so far ...to stick him on the bench again would be ridiculous for so many reasons .

I'll third this.
Creativity everywhere in the front five. Just need to put the chances away, and not have another Norwich debacle.

It'll be the same team as West Brom.

The game is after an international so I guess the best that we can hope for is a draw, no matter what team we put out there.

Good to see some optimism on this forum.
Best we can hope for is a draw, against a newly promoted team, at Anfield.
Are you messing?

Dutch midfielder Kemy Agustien, who played for Willem II and AZ before moving to Swansea, has experience playing in the Netherlands against compatriot Dirk Kuyt and Uruguayan Luis Suarez, and he is wary of the physical prowess of the Liverpool duo.

"I know Dirk Kuyt and Luis Suarez from my time back home," Agustien told his club's official website.

"Kuyt doesn't play as a striker for Liverpool, but he always scores goals. He can play everywhere and always does well.

"He works so hard for the team - he plays like he has five engines.

"Suarez is another very dangerous player, he is so tricky. He is another guy who gives everything to the team - he has the capacity of six lungs with the amount of work he does.

"He looks to have settled into the Premier League with no problems, and he has really impressed me."

Newly promoted Swansea have already travelled to Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal this season, but the 25-year-old believes going to Anfield is particularly historic.

"Anfield is the type of place you want to say you have played at when you end your career," said Agustien.

"They also have good players, but we also have very good players.

"Everyone has seen that we can play our style even against the big clubs, so I think we can definitely get something from the game."

He added: "When we run out at Liverpool it's 11 men against 11 men. That is it, and anything can happen."

The Dutchman last appeared in the game against Arsenal in September, and he is chomping at the bit to return.

"I feel good now and I'm pushing myself to be ready for a place on the bench at least, if the gaffer needs me," Agustien said.

"Obviously everyone has done very well, but I want to play as soon as possible."

Personally I think we'll use our own players.

I usually start off nervous and become more optimistic as the match approaches ... why is that reversed today ? Hmm.

I start nervous and stay nervous until the final whistle is blown!

Someone please start a proper match thread in stead of this mess of a International mix-up. We need to be prepared well for this one.
