Not feeling confident about this. I hope Suarez, Sterling et all go nuts early doors and we get two early goals to nullify the inevitable goal they will score. I can't beleive I'm about to type this but I hope Henderson starts and harries the fuck out of their midfield.

I think we'll see Enrique back at LB today. Suso behind Suarez, Assaidi out wide and
Gerrard and Allen in midfield.

We need to start well. We can't afford another insipid first half. (We seem to have specialised in them for at least two years now. What is it about players that they need a half time bollocking to get going?)

Starting 11:

Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Downing, Sterling, Suarez.

Enrique or Downing at left back?!

Can Luis emulate Aldo and Barnes?

If Luis Suarez scores against Swansea today he will become the third Liverpool player in the last 78 years to score in five successive away league games after John Aldridge and John Barnes. Here are some more facts from club statistician Ged Rea.

There has not been a goalless draw between Liverpool and Swansea in the league in Wales while the 0-0 draw at Anfield last season is the only one in 22 league meetings.
This is the first of six games that Liverpool will play away from Anfield in the next 36 days.
Brendan Rodgers was in charge of Swansea 84 times in the league winning 36 of them and 96 times in all competitions with 43 wins.

Except in the derby 🙂

Either way it's sickening. All you can say is that at least with Downing at left back you are sick over the cistern, rather than swallowing back into your stomach.

Downing at left back I take it

Wenger must be salivating!

Arsenal set to make £10m swoop for Liverpool flop Downing in January

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to make a shock £10million move for Liverpool's out-of-favour winger Stewart Downing in the January transfer window.

Wenger was outbid by Liverpool when he wanted to sign Downing in 2011 as a replacement for Samir Nasri and now believes he can rescue his career after the England international's torrid time at Anfield.

On the radar: Liverpool's Stewart Downing (right)

Current Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers does not want Downing, who has lost form and confidence since his £20m switch to Merseyside.

But Wenger is convinced he has the technical ability to fit in at Arsenal and would provide balance to his team on the left flank.
Downing can also play left-back, which has been Arsenal's problem position this season.

Capped 34 times, Downing was hailed as a new Kop hero when signed by Kenny Dalglish following an electric spell with Aston Villa.

But he failed to contribute a Premier League goal or assist in his first season and has been publicly criticised by Rodgers for a lack of work-rate in the current campaign.

Liverpool may try to use Arsenal's interest as currency to land Theo Walcott, who only has six months left on his contract at the Emirates.

Line up seems grand to me.

Hendo playing a little further back, Allen back to his more comfortable position a bit further forward. Sterling, Gerrard and somebody on the left supporting Luis.

I thought we would never have to endure Hendo and Downing in the starting XI again....that's just a bad selection.
Where's Assaidi?

Where's Assaidi?

Both he and Cole turned up in their trackies looking like they'd be part of the match day squad. Maybe the whole lot do that for away games, it's not something I realise now I notice!
