Today's echo rumour

His release clause is £45 million

He is ripping it up in the Italian League, however he lacks the pace of our forward line..

Coutinho game was never about pace anyway.. Was it?

I thought Suso had so much potential, but haven't really followed him in Italy. 45m sounds steep.

Pacheco was the man I had hope for, and Nemeth. I try not to get too carried away thinking about the wonderkids we had who have disappeared....

Don't even talk to me about Yesil.

Suso was always in a different class. He and Sterling were the stand out players in the same generation, and both of them equally looked nailed on to make it at the top level. What I liked about Suso, and what he brings that we're missing without Cuntyo, is that unpredictable flash of inspiration. He can also beat players with excellent close control and a sudden burst of pace. At the right price, I'd have him back.

Me too, but not at 45M.

Richie Partridge was a god on Fm.

No thanks to Suso, not good enough

The pace of the italian league suits Suso.
I don't think it's a great idea, especially not for the price.
Goretzka would have been the perfect replacement.

he hasn't agreed to join Bayern yet. By all accounts we're still trying to talk him around.

I really hope so but I think it was over as soon as Bayern showed some interest. Maybe he hasn't signed anything yet, but it's probably because he can't at the moment, due to the teams being based in the same country.
We took a huge gamble by not signing him in the summer. I believe we would have got him then.
Would have probably paid about £30 mill but you know hindsight is 20/20.

Another option is Draxler, who also likes to drift inside like Coutinho and can play behind the striker.

That same country thing only applies in the Premier League. The talk is that we are still in for him.

Really? Thought it was a EU thing.
Draxler or Savic is the way to go.
But it's pointless if we don't get a defensive minded midfielder.

There's this Spanish midfielder at Lazio we should have a look at.

He's amongst the best performing midfielders in the league and whilst Savic & Immobile have taken all the plaudits, this guy is arguably the most important player at Lazio at the moment.

His performances have also led to a call up to the Spanish national team.

Luis Alberto.

I don't think that's correct and i can't find a premier league rule on it.

Well there are examples produced in the Goretzka thread that players have signed one of these agreements in Germany with the move announced in January. If I could be arsed looking.

I'll explain it again here then. In order to take advantage of a Bosman (an EU law right) you must engage your free movement rights. You can do that by either being in a different country to that of your nationality or by moving between member states.

Rode's move to Bayern was announced within a month of the end of the season.
Just like Goretzka's will be.

OK, I guess we'll see.

.... remember what happens to most players we sign from Italy?
