Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to hand Spanish starlet Suso his chance of a first-team place. Rodgers admits Liverpool have left themselves short up front, having sold Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy, and then loaned Andy Carroll to West Ham. Rodgers is now ready to throw 18-year-old Suso, who is yet to make his Liverpool debut after joining the club's youth set-up in 2010 from Cadiz, into the action. "There might need to be an intermediary way of working now," Rodgers is quoted as saying by The Independent. "Boys like Suso will get their opportunity. The percentage under 21s playing in the Premier League is statistically very, very small. "We are going to be stretched the limit and [we'll be telling them] 'if you've got little niggles and injuries you've got to man up.' We've got to be together and be strong. "This [situation] will allow guys to stand up to the plate. You get an opportunity but you have got to take it."

Let hope this Yesil fella does too..

He will blood the youngsters in Europa league I'd imagine, beef em up a bit for the latter part of the season..

This could be the one up side of this whole mess, we've already seen Raheem getting his chance, if Suso and Yesil also got there chance and they impressed, we could end up with some cracking players. I'm sure a lot of these guys, definitely Sterling, would have got their chance even if we got everything sorted this window, it's great to see that in Rodgers we have a manager who isn't afraid to introduce the youth.

Suso looks a great prospect but from watching him play with the Spain youth sides he's not going to solve any goalscoring problems like Mark said above.

The last match I watched where they pushed him forward into an attacking role he was crap, playing deeper and being in the thick of passing and buildup he was excellent. He has a lot of competition and good players ahead of him in his best position but I really hope he makes it.

He looked great in the winger's position for the reserves last year though.
He's simply a very talented midfielder who just might help us create more chances.
I know our shooting accuracy in general is god awful but we've also been pretty shite at creating clear chances this season (apart from Suarez's genius moments which he then proceeds to fuck up by shooting into row z).
Blooding him in can only be a good thing.

I'd definitely give him a chance in the europa and carling cup as we'd have nothing to lose. With our thin squad, we have to save our main players for the league only.
