Support the players, not only the club

I support the players all the time even they make mistakes. I will give every player more than one chance.

Support them every week, show them what backing them is all about. Show them what backing the club is all about. Show them why they play for us. Show the players out there why they should sign for us. Show them that we are fantastic fans.

Things could change very quickly. Two three good games could change everything. It helps if we the fans give them some extra confidence. One bad season don't prove anything. One good season don't prove anything.

Back the players all the time, week in week out, even when they make mistakes.

Back them and support them, ALL THE TIME.

Maybe I should have added that the players should behave on and off the pitch and work their socks off for the club on and off the pitch. Diouf didn't do that. He didn't deserve our respect.

If a player respect the club then we the fans should respect him.

Playing a bad game or ten bad games don't change a thing. I still support them.

The whole idea of a forum is for fans to express their opinions on club matters. That can be approval, disapproval, hated, love, whatever. It's completely irrelevant because it's only us lot reading it.

On match days the whole fan base is behind the starting team.

It really isn't complicated @Arn.

The only poster on here who expresses enjoyment for a players poor performance and actively wish it upon them is MODO.

I agree with most of the sentiment regarding getting behind the players and not turning on them after 1 or 2 poor performances but players come and go , the team doesn't and most of them couldn't give a shit about the fans anyway. High paid mercenaries for the most part.
I reserve my right to call someone a cunt if they miss an open goal or make a defensive fuck up. I doubt my mini outburst whether it be at the match , watching on telly or writing on here will have any affect on a players performances.
I do know that regardless of what players are picked as long as they play for us I'll want them to do well as that means the team has a better chance of doing well and that's all I care about. I'll always support this club whereas the players won't always play for us so it's hardly the same really, players are just a means to an end.

Liking the fucking players is for 10 year olds, fuck those millionaire bagheads.

This is just a prelude to another Lucas discussion.

According to Arn, anyone who calls a player a cunt should be banned. No one should criticise Liverpool players at all, but you're allowed to call them cunts and admit you hated them all along, once they leave the club.

While we're here by the way, I've genuinely noticed a level of underlying racism and lack of empathy towards foreign and/or black players on this board.

A disproportionate number of the black and especially black foreign players we've had or been linked to in the last several years have been characterized as lazy, stupid, selfish, or with an exaggerated level of skepticism without much merit. White foreign players less so, but those from a select few countries definitely get more abuse.

It's been called out a few times in threads, but it definitely devalues some amount of the discussion on this forum.

Hahahahahaha fuck me. Brilliant.

I've read a few posts where some express some scepticism regarding signing African players due to our poor record.
Diouf, Diao, Song etc.
Nothing too serious though.

Or Italians.

That racist too?

Hahahahaha Another one!!!!

It's not racist, it's pretty stupid and I think it has more to do with us picking the wrong players rather than it having anything to do with nationality or continent.

Is Whirly serious there or what?
If he's serious that could easily be the most tragic thing I've seen on a football forum ever.

As established on the other thread, we always have a couple of morons on the site. With Arn (hopefully) leaving, this presents a great opportunity for someone to fill the quota.

I dislike Benteke, Lallana, Markovic, Sakho because I think they are not good enough for our club and are draining our resources. I don't see any shame in that.

Blind optimism will in fact destroy the club. If they are shit they don't deserve to be with the club regardless of whether they cost 30 million or have donated 30 million to charity.

I think this might be slightly skewed by Balotelli, who is black, foreign, lazy, selfish, fucking stupid and everyone was skeptical about

And probably also memories of Diouf, who was black, foreign, lazy, selfish and fucking stupid.

Sakho is black and foreign, but very popular with large sections of the fan base, although again with the early sulking under Rodgers, his behaviour at PSV, the fat burning debacle, and then being sent home from tour by Klopp for various misdemeanours, there's arguments for him being a bit lazy, selfish and fucking stupid too

And then there's Charles Itandje.....

All in stark contrast to Clyne, who's the opposite of lazy, clever, English and black

Momo, foreign, black, not lazy, but a bit thick

Carroll however, was white, lazy, thick and English

I don't THINK we're racist. But we probably are

I think everyone is to some degree, and my post was supposed to be partly funny and partly pointing out why that may be the case, given some of the total cunts we have had playing for us.

And yeah, Clyne and Sturridge are obviously both eloquent and bright, but they're English.....ah it's too early for this
