I thought he was almost incapable of dealing with the press, based on how he interviewed when at Liverpool. I'm beginning to think he's just one of those personalities that will apply itself to something only when it really matters, and is competitive.
I've been really surprised by how confident he is, and he is already differentiating himself and being noticed as a personality, which is a large part of moving up in the job. Course, it's all much easier when you are winning, and he is. I'm hugely impressed so far.

He's doing a good job to be fair. Two years ago, Rangers were third and 41 points off Celtic. Last season they were third again and more than 20 points off Celtic. Right now in Gerrard's debut season after nearly half the matches, they are top of the league. Let's see where he finishes, but fuck it, to be a manager, I think you have to protect your players and give the media a piece of your mind. Nothing to see here.
