Keane probably won't start.

I imagine you wouldn't see the irony if he does score for them?

If Gerrard and Torres play a win for us.

If not a draw.
I'll go with this. 2-1 to us if both Gerrard & Torres play and our CB pairing is Carra & Skrtel.

3-0 to us. Maybe even 4-0.

It's my 6th anniversary on Sunday. I need to inform the wife today that I'll be watching the game.

After 6 years together, she's gonna understand. Right?

You dont have to inform her.. Just tell her youll carry out the rubbish, and sneak down to the pub. After six years she will not notice!!

I was originally going to go with 2-2, but the return to fitness of Skrtel and Carra has convinced me that we can win 2-1. Probably in the last minute. Kuyt will score our first, and either Gerrard or Torres our second. Defoe will score for them, and Glen Johnson will be at fault for their goal, having tried to dribble past two Spurs players on the halfway line and thus given the ball away in a dangerous position. Harry Redknapp will complain about the referee and Rage will complain about Rafa's substitutions.

I probably shouldn't worry. After 6 years, surely she would consult the fixture list before making any plans...

Yeah, that.

It will be close, and I'd say 1-1 too

Kuyt or Gerrard for us. Hopefully anyone but Keane or Crouch for them

I'm going for 1-1.

Gerrard with our goal. Some cunt with theirs.
I'm worried about them going forward and our usual early season defensive woes, especially with zonal marking which seems to take a while to get right.

That said, their defence is shite and so is their midfield, so we should at least boss them, I'm just concerned about their pace on the flanks and upfront.

The last time we played there first game of the season was when Cisse scored and that finished 1-1, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the result again.

I think we'll win easily but i dont want to predict it.
Its one of only 2 games we lost last year (thanks a fucking bunch 'supercomputer'), so anything better than that is a statement for the start of the new season.

I'll predict 2-2

That game last season should have been over at half time...we destroyed them for about 70 minutes..

Hard to predict...1-1 seems to be the safe bet, but Torres could really go to town on that defence...I'll go 3-1 Liverpool..Gerrard, Torres and Kuyt, Defoe for Spurs..
