Suarez interview

If only he'd come right out and say "Unless the club want me to go and put me under pressure to leave, then I'll definitely be here next season".

I love suarez. This guy deserves voice playing at the highest level, and it's up to the club and Rodgers to bring in the quality for us to get there.

When he was asked who he looked at in the Liverpool squad as a child, he mentioned: Paul Ince, Robbie Fowler, McManaman, some "Jimkala" fella and Hyypia.

Did anyone catch what "Jimkala" actually was? Did he mean Carra?

Hey.... the truth is however happy he is, and he does seem a genuine fella, a team like say Bayern are a good few years ahead of us and he would have to look at it should they come knocking...

You never know though, we may well get into that fourth spot yet, or indeed just tell Bayern et al to get fucked because he is our player.

I'll have no problem with him if he decides to leave in the summer as long as we get 60M for him plus a sell on clause.

He seems genuinely happy. As long as he wants to stay in wouldn't sell him for any price. Getting such talent with a never say die attitude in one player is priceless.

are you on crack? c'mon DB, you'd have no problem losing a player of Suarez's quality and hunger? even for 60M .... it's madness...
I'll be gutted but I won't blame him. He's been nothnig short of sensational since Evragate.
This season he hasn't just been head and shoulders above our entire squad (which is even tougher for his height) but also the entire league.

The offers will come and if he takes one I won't hate him unlike say Torres or Owen who for me weren't honest with the fans.
It's obvious he loves life here, but joining a side who will probably win their league and go close in the CL next season to a coach who admires you and plays your style of football? It's a no brainer as long as we get the fee deserved which currently for me is 60M

This will come back to haunt me, but I really think he'll stay, he seems much happier and a bigger part of our identity than Torres ever did, he seems like he loves it here. I reckon he's thinking, I can give it one more year, then leave if no champions league football, which makes perfect sense, he'd be 27 then, and at the peak of his career, hopefully though, we can be the ones to give him champions league football.

It's different to when Owen and Torres wanted to leave though because the team was going backwards then.

Now with Coutinho and Sturridge on board, it does feel as if the team is going forwards.

Wrong. Torres gave everyone the belief he got the club like no other overseas player ever had and thats why so many fell in love with him and why it hurt so much to see him go to Chelsea.

No it's not wrong, it's correct, hence why I said it. I know what Torres said, I was here 3 years ago, however the body language on the pitch was much different. Towards the end, despite what he said, Torres started coming across apathetic on the pitch, almost like it was a chore to be here and times, to be fair he was here through a much harder period at the club, but the point remains.

Suarez is always 200% on the pitch and it looks like he feels every goal scored and goal conceded, there is rarely ever a game where he looks disinterested, unlike Fernando, that's why I feel he's so much more a part of our identity, because as they it's much easier to talk to the talk than it is to walk the walk. Torres said all the right things, his actions didn't.

He will stay until 2014 world cup at least, have blinder at the world cup and we will get silly money offer from PSG.

Hyperbole pat. He said the same stuff every player does, difference being he was so good we lapped it up.

A lot more players got the identity of the club from overseas.

I know he's a racist horrible cunt on and off the pitch, but he just seems like the kind of guy you want to be a 'leader' on your club.

I've said it before, but we may have handled the Evra situation poorly, but in handling it the way we did, we kept Suarez far longer than we would have had we handled it correctly. He saw tremendous loyalty to him, and it did something to him.

Get the right players this summer, and we'll win the World Cup in 2014 with no problem.

Yes. Nice interview, and nice of Geoff Shreeves not to block his way when he got ready to leave.

Yea I thought he said Jamie Carra. Perhaps.

It sounded like "Jimkara" to me which, I'm pretty sure, was "Jamie Carra" in a Latino accent.

Agree with all the things you fellas have been saying, but would add that the way Luis put last season's stitch-up behind him shows his strength of character. We are so flumpin lucky to have this guy at the club.
